Lol your reaction to the time jump. I think this drama tried to fit so many things in just 17 episodes. I think it should have been a 20 episode drama if they wanted to include other elements besides romance, but overall, I appreciated the drama because of the chemistry between the leads, the acting from all the actors, the soundtrack, and the cinematography (the plot could have been better, but it didn't really bother me too much haha). So according to history, the king actually waited 15 yrs for Deokim before she accepted to be his consort. I know you don't want spoilers, but wanted to explain why they might have shown such a time skip. Also, one more thing is that the king already has a queen (during his crown prince days, he had a crown princess), which is why Deokim kept saying I don't want to be a royal concubine. Apparently, crown princes back in the day got married very early like around 10 yrs old (arranged marriages). However, it is recorded that Deokim is the only woman whom the king loved and the only court lady whom he picked based on his own will to become his royal consort. Just wanted to give more background information because the drama didn't really talk about the crown prince's wife, which makes sense because this drama is about the love story of Deokim and the king.

Also thank you for the reactions. I know you mentioned you are gonna react to ep15,16,17 altogether, but wanted to let you know that ep16 is 1hr 20min and ep17 is 1hr 40min long. Reacting to all 3 episodes in one week might be rough haha.
