Ranking the NES, Episode 31 (Patreon)

In case you are not the sort of person to follow a YouTube channel, here's today's installment of ranked NES games!
Also, I totally get it. I don't think I even subscribed to a YouTube channel or anything until like 2014 or so. YouTube was always just a thing someone links you to when they want you to see a specific video, it wasn't something I just loaded up to say "hey, what's here today?" That usage pattern has changed a little bit, or, at least I do subscribe to a bunch of channels nowadays. Speaking of which, Danny O'Dwyer's quest to make and publish a racing game has been an interesting one, and he just posted a fascinating update about how it's been impossible for them to find a publishing deal so far. It's a good watch and I think it ties into a lot of what we've been discussing lately on the podcast, check it out here:

I think I say "we" that situation because it does occasionally feel like I'm talking to and with the live chat. Anyway, next week we'll almost certainly talk about the PS5 Pro specs going around. They sound about right for what a "pro" version of a console might look like in Q4 of this year, I'd say.
I've been thinking a bit about how to reconcile the NES ranking with the Jeff Gerstmann Hall of Fame, because I'm finding that most of the things I'd say about those games in the HOF context are coming out over the course of them being ranked. I may just do a shorter batch of NES games to kinda "get them in" and focus on some newer (and older) stuff for the next full installment.
Anyway, I have an Unreleased VIdeo Game to get back to, so let's catch up on Tuesday! See ya then!
