With all of the talk around Tony Hawk games these days, I decided to take another look at Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. The fifth Tony Hawk game! It's... somehow way worse than I remember it being.

Hey, remember Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5? No, you don't. No one remembers precisely just how bad this thing actually is. Let's revisit it and talk a bit about the series as a whole. This is good as I coincidentally watched the GB podcast discussion on THPS 5 last night

I know it’s a current news item you’re technically covering- but this post Mortems/autopsies/ what have you would be a cool series.

There’s a lot from the PS3/360 era that I’d love to see revisited

I remember watching the quick look of this in 2015 and being pretty depressed lol

I would occasionally go back to the conversation you and Dan had about THPS5 and a couple of years ago I decided that there was no way it was as bad as you guys said. It was a Tony Hawk game, so if nothing else I would play all the levels and scratch the itch. I was still surprised at how bad it ended up being and gave up after about 3 levels. Luckily we had THPS 1+2 and now 3+4 to make 5 not be the final game in the Tony Hawk series.
