Wet keeps coming up in conversation these days, it feels like WET is the name on everyone's lips. OK, maybe that's a little dramatic, but it's come up enough that it's probably time for me to revisit Wet, the Bethesda-published third-person shooter from 2009. Here's the PS3 version running on the current version of RPCS3. It's not a perfect re-creation of the original experience, but... you'll get the idea. Also, as a bonus, playing it this way lets us dig around the files on the disc in search of audio gold.

*or a reasonable facsimile thereof.

Let's Get WET (PS3, 2009)

It's time to enjoy A2M's Wet and find out two things: 1) Does this game hold up in any way? 2) Does it run well in the current version of RPCS3? As a bonus, you'll get to hear about the time I went to London to see Wet and Rogue Warrior before they came out and my experience with the "Texican Whopper." A true treat? Weird! I was just playing this on the 360 a few days ago. I only played the 1st level back in the day. I’m determined to finish it this time.

Really enjoyed watching this. I thought it had the same vibe as Ride To Hell: Retribution, but that was released four years later which seems, as the singer in Wet might put it, INSAAAANE! Also, I didn’t realize the Notorious MSG was a parody at first. Someone on Twitch worried that they were a Chinese Goldie Lookin Chain; I guess they nailed it… (…and yes, learning they were called “The Notorious MSG” was the tipoff. 😅)
