The Contrarians Supplements

This was fascinating to watch. Castlevania III was one of the first NES games I played and, obviously, the first Castlevania game I played. So, to me, it's the gold standard for Castlevania games. That music is 100% Castlevania to my ears. The branching paths, the companions... imagine my disappointment when I finally played the original Castlevania and it was a simpler, harder (no password?!?!) version of the game I loved. Gotta say though, you inadvertently screwed yourself over by going down a path that stuck you with Alucard, who sucks. You needed to go to the clocktower and get Grant as your companion. That guy's great: climbs walls, has better jumping abilities, makes for a more fun gaming experience.
