Hey all, hope you're having an excellent John Cena Appreciation Day. Here are the details for this week's streams as they currently stand!

  • Tuesday, 10AM PDT - The podcast! Featuring me!
  • Wednesday, 6AM PDT - A video containing me speaking about an upcoming video game goes live on YouTube and it is stupid.
  • Thursday, 10AM PDT - Going to check out some "video games" of a recent variety!
  • Friday, 10AM PDT - Hey, should I keep playing Dragon's Dogma? That's where my head is at, currently. I... kinda keep wanting to get back to it. I'm just as surprised as you are by this fact.

Some people have asked about simultaneously streaming to YouTube, but the way Twitch's business stuff is written technically prevents me from doing that. I'm not sure how to figure that part out, it probably involves contracts? I know it's not something they have always enforced particularly rigorously.

Also I should be guesting on a podcast that will air over the weekend, I'll have more details on that once everything gets locked in.

The big fans and dehumidifiers are gone and we had a guy come in and measure all the fat holes in our walls, so hopefully that stuff is nearly behind us. The fan noise all weekend added a chaotic level of stress to the house that none of us needed. My kids were just a little extra nuts when the fans were running. Not fun! But also not as intrusive as I initially thought it would be, I was seriously thinking that we'd need to try to relocate for a week or two, the initial estimates made it sound way worse.

My Steam Deck should be showing up this week! What should I play on it first?

I reccomend you get emulation station up and running on your Steam Deck ASAP mine has basically become the portable PS2 i dreamed about when i was 14.

I'm very interested in learning more about running emulators on the Steam Deck. Would be cool to see how it compares to the MiSTer. Glad you are on the tail end of the water damage situation we had a hell of a water leak in our main bathroom we were unaware of... it was a nightmare situation for a multitude of reasons.

It would be cool to see more Dragon’s Dogma. The combat really opens up once you start unlocking new abilities for your class. Also Strider has a dodge roll you can unlock.

I’ve been using it for ESO lately, there’s performance hiccups here and there, but for just questing around I’ve been enjoying it. It feels awesome having a full sized mmorpg on a handheld

If you're enjoying it, enjoy it. If you get bored and want to stop playing Dragon's Dogma, then that's when you stop. It's enjoyable to see someone have fun with a game. That said, I'm not sure what happened to that first stream of DD on Twitch. Didn't see a VOD of it.
