Hey everybody! Hello from the land of video games and drywall. Here's the streaming schedule for this week!

Tuesday, 10AM PDT - The podcast! We'll talk about the return of E3, Respawn's open job positions, and that Exoprimal beta. Among other things, of course. Good news: I only have two cans of ZOA left. Soon I'll be able to return to the world of drinkable energy drinks. It's been a long road, for sure.

Wednesday, 10AM PDT - Hey, here's a question for you. Are you interested in a dedicated Steam Deck stream? I have the gear required to capture the Deck at its native resolution. It's a little funky since you don't seem to be able to have the Steam Deck's screen _and_ the external screen on at the same time, but it should be good enough to capture some games and emulators running.

Friday, 10AM-ish PDT - A Rad Friday Stream. I want to get a setup going in the garage for garage streams, but between it being intensely hot here this week and needing to get my hands on some gear to make this a reality, this might not be the week for a garage stream. We're a week behind on Dragon's Dogma, though, so I'm thinking it might be a solid time to return to... whatever the land in Dragon's Dogma is even called. Dog City. Let's go with Dog City.

The Friday stream may start a bit late, I have a dentist appointment in the morning! All these streams will happen on Twitch over at http://twitch.tv/jeffgerstmann and they'll be archived on YouTube: A Place For Videos. Oh! Now that the YouTube channel is over 30 days old, I can set a custom URL for it. But it's not so much "custom" as it is "here is a somewhat less convoluted URL for your channel." It's https://www.youtube.com/c/TheJeffGerstmannShow now. Catchy, I know.

On the Horizon: I'm hammering out some details for a new podcast that will be exclusive to the $10+ tier patrons. It's not going to be a weekly show, but it should delve into some weird, old game topics that I think people will really dig. More on that and my guest co-host in the weeks ahead.

For steam deck stream, want to see some of the normal computer stuff it can do

I am interested in more Steam Deck content. Your first discussion of it sold me on putting in the deposit for a preorder!

A steam deck stream would be great. I love the idea of a new podcast on weird old stuff!

I would be extremely interested in a steam deck stream. Particularly how it does with emulation.

SteamDeck streams...if it's more about just doing weird things with it. I wouldn't say it is worth the trouble just to see how games on Steam run because it's just a computer at the end of the day. Dog City is a good show name.

into a steam deck stream! would be cool to see how it handles stuff like external controllers if you are already committed to hdmi output.

Jonathan Beckham

Would love a steam deck stream, especially going over how it handles emulation.

Can you say “Steam Deck stream”three times fast?

Brian Thomsen

Steam desk stream would be great, also more energy drinks. How about a review of the normie energy drinks (Monster, Rock Star, Bang, etc...) and all the flavors? That should keep you busy for a while.

Chris Flores

Steam Deck Stream (say that 5 times fast) sounds good to me!

Alexander

I really want to see a Steam Deck stream! I want one so bad so I'm going to live through you.

It does well with controllers over bluetooth, I have a PS5 controller connected to it as well as a mouse and keyborad over BT. I had trouble getting my Xbox controller to connect for some reason and it's BT capable but I must have missed somehting in the setup. You can get an inexpensive hub to connect the Deck to more than just HDMI, my hub has HDMI at 60 fps, 2 USB C ports (one that will allow power to feed the deck) and two USB A ports which I have used to connect a wired Xbox controller to. It all works very well.
