New Podcast Launching Tomorrow (Patreon)
Content
Hey everyone! Big day tomorrow! For starters, I'll be streaming tomorrow! Come hang out on Twitch, I'll be around for most of the day and perhaps we'll build an all-new soundboard! Or maybe we'll just play like five hours of Trackmania, who can say?
The new podcast will debut both here on Patreon and on the main feed for the Jeff Gerstmann show. Further episodes will be Patreon-exclusive for players on the Co-Conspirator ($10) tier or higher! Game Boyz II Men will detail the weird ride I've had over the years, starting with my beginnings as a high school kid suddenly thrust into a world full of weird adults, video games, and a rising console war between the Genesis and the Super Nintendo.
Glenn Rubenstein will be joining me on this trip. Glenn started doing this work before I did and between the two of us we'll tell stories about visits to Sega, testifying in the Nintendo/Galoob Game Genie trial, the time we tried to position me as the Denis Leary of the video game business, our unlikely (and brief) rap careers, our print magazine days, what GameSpot was like in 1996, and way more. The first episode is a setup and introduction, and the next episode will hit in August. Next time out we'll get right into things with an episode devoted to Nintendo around the turn of the generation, as the NES faded in favor of the SNES. I'm hoping to hit around two of these a month, but some episodes will probably be a bit more research-heavy than others, and others will need us to schedule some guests. It's going to be rad!
You can follow Glenn on Twitter @glennrubenstein.
