Jeff and Glenn reconvene to cover Sega from the Master System up through the Genesis, including the Van Nuys Sonic 2 launch celebration, Glenn as Sega's answer to Howard Phillips, the different ways enrolling your children in GATE might screw them up for the rest of their school years, getting politely kicked out of high school for being complete jerks, the power of Tommy Lasorda Baseball, and seeing House of Pain alongside a bunch of Hell's Angels.

An audio version of this show will also be posted to Patreon, so check your Patreon feed for that! Thanks again to everyone for supporting the program, this show continues to be a weird sort of unpacking of my youth that is kind of explaining a lot about why I am the way I am today. Weird how that works out. Sega's a big topic, so next time we'll be getting into the depths of the Sega CD and all the moves Sega made as it tried to figure out what The Next Level truly was.

40 hours of TV a week sounds so drastic relative to the 3-5 hours doctors probably recommend safe for children but man just Price is Right, Wheel, and Jeopardy that's 10 hours a week right there.

I really enjoy this series, thank you Jeff and Glenn for recording your memories of this time period in gaming. I grew up around this time but was still too young to have a real grasp on what was going on so this is all very interesting!

Patreon I guess

Yeah thanks very much. Wasn't sure what to expect as I was never allowed to own consoles and really only was doing PC stuff at the time. Interesting to hear the stories.

Really excited to hear about the Saturn! What was the marketing leading up to it like? And how was the marketing/PR coming out of Sega during its life?

Oh man. The Rentals. I miss the fucking Rentals. Crazy to think someone spent $100 to go see them back in the day tho

This is probably my favorite content (for lack of a better word) on the internet right now. Finally got around to hitting this back log of Game Boyz II Men episodes. Awesome stuff.
