A Touch of Trackmania and A Bunch of CD-i "Games" (Patreon)
Content
Here's the archive of today's stream, where I got into a little bit of the latest Trackmania update. It has some cool new blocks and features and stuff that I wasn't expecting, I might have to spend a little more time with it this season.
After that (and after digging into the two Trackmania games on the DS) I decided to dive into the world of CD-i emulation. I was originally hoping to actually play on real hardware, but after updating the firmware on my RetroTink 5X-Pro and getting the CD-i hooked up, the belt that keeps the CD-ROM drive closed seems to have snapped or slipped off or something. So it's busted for now. I went ahead and ordered a replacement belt, so hopefully I can get that all up and running again without too much trouble. There's been some interest in me streaming that process, which I might do, depending on if I can get a good camera angle of the action.
Tomorrow night Glenn and I will finally reunite for a Game Boyz II Men live Q&A show. We're looking to start around 8PM Pacific. I'll post details here then, but the short version is that we'll be taking questions on the Discord. The feed will either live in Discord or some external service like YouTube. It seems that Discord has a limit for the number of viewers a "live stage" can have, so that might force us to use YouTube or Twitch for the stream. EIther way, we'll be taking questions from the #live-programming channel during the broadcast. If you can't catch it live, it'll be archived here on Patreon!
After that, I'll be looking to finally get a couple of guests booked for some future episodes of Game Boyz II Men so we can finally resume our dive into Game Journalism and Teen Stupidity in the 90s.
