Plant made it on September's Huge Monster Poll! And then, the stars aligned when Cze and Peku released their Rosehydra Crypt. I had the great honor to work on the monstrous plant in all its glory and the best part: they have sent me their map to share with you!

Cze and Peku need no introduction – they are the epitome of map making! Not only are their designs absolutely top-notch but their maps' variants are so wonderfully creative that you don't want to miss them! In case you need inspiration for an encounter, plot hook or campaign, just take a look at their gorgeous portfolio! Needless to say, I'm more than excited about this release, so here it is – the Rosehydra:

Wherever mourning spirits of the past dictate the fates of today, it thrives; whenever death triumphs over life, it prospers; whatever lingers too close will be consumed and absorbed. With brute force, it strangles the soil and carves a path for its tendrils to grow. The rosehydra ranks among the most peculiar as well as deadliest plants to be admired by connoisseurs of flowers and the like. In all its strength, however, it is a quite careful one and almost never resides in the open. Blood-soaked grottos, ruined fortresses or crypts broken and forgotten by time – it doesn’t take much light for this botanical behemoth to sprout. For as long as its safehold provides enough space and shelter, the rosehydra will take roots and sprawl.

As with all exclusive huge creatures, art, token and the monster page are available to all Critter Collectors, Caretakers, Connoisseurs & Curators! Your support truly means a lot – you're amazing<3

Amazing! I think I will consider this the next evolution of the vampire rose (bloodthirsty white roses whose thorn whips drain blood to suffuse them with crimson), and it will be a delightfully unwelcome surprise to my players!

How does the Blooming Doom work? How do we know if it grows heads based on amount of damage? Do we roll d100 and if it is under slashing damage it grows?

Zulphar

We always need more plant monsters.

I just tried to download the CzePeku maps in the Critter Caretaker file share, and the Gridless, Original, Night doesn't seem to download.

I've been trying to find the proper download for this and can't seem to find it.
