Beware of the Cougar Part 2 (Patreon)

The next few hours passed the way good evenings had a habit of doing; quickly, and without permission.
She'd taken the young human through the candlemaker's stall first, where he'd been enough of a gentleman to buy her a moon float without being asked. Then they'd set them on the water together off the old shrine steps, and Kali had watched hers drift out toward the bay with something loosening quietly in her chest.
Then the braised fish vendor, where the queue had been exactly as long as she'd predicted. But a small treat to boost for tonight many activities.
After that a slow drift upward through the festival's quieter back paths; the ones that wound behind the main stalls and terraced along the hillside, where old stone steps led to a wide overlook that most visitors never found because it wasn't marked which was convenient.
It was worth the effort.
Kuo Kuana spread below them in warm, scattered light. The festival lanterns traced the plaza streets in amber and gold, and beyond them the bay caught the shattered moon in a hundred shifting pieces. The noise drifted up softened and pleasant, just enough to remind them it was there.
Somewhere along the way, a vendor had supplied wine. Kali couldn't entirely remember whose idea that had been, which probably said something about how the evening had unfolded naturally, one thing simply following from the next the way good conversation did.
She'd shed her sandals at some point and tucked her feet beneath her on the low stone wall, which she would have considered undignified in approximately any other context and currently found she didn't care about at all.
Kali let out a laugh, one hand coming up to cover her mouth a beat too late. The wine glass in her other hand tilted dangerously, and she righted it on instinct, which only made her laugh harder for a moment before she got herself back under control.
"That…" she started, once she'd recovered, "was a terrible joke."
"You laughed."
"I was caught off guard." She took a composed sip of wine. "It won't happen again."
Riven looked entirely unconvinced. He lifted his own glass and drank.
"I still don't know how to feel about this," he admitted, holding the glass up and studying it with mild suspicion. "It doesn't taste like I expected."
"What did you expect?"
"Grape juice that made poor decisions." He snorted.
"Dry wine tends to disappoint people the first time," she said. "Most people who don't drink, start with something sweet."
"My mother drinks sweet wine." He took another, more deliberate sip. "Plenty of that at family dinners over the years. This is rather… different."
"It's an acquired taste," Kali agreed. "The dryness. The slight burn underneath it." She let her gaze settle on him with mild, appreciative curiosity. "That you're taking to it this well on your first glass is a little surprising."
"I drink beer mostly." He turned the glass once in his hand. "But this isn't bad. It's growing on me."
"Things worth having usually do."
She said it lightly, pleasantly, and watched to see if it landed.
It did. Just a brief flicker at the corner of his expression; there and gone, but she caught it.
Good.
Kali reached up and adjusted a loose pin in her hair, a small unhurried gesture, the kind that drew attention without demanding it. She let the silence sit for a moment, then shifted slightly on the stone wall, closing the distance between.
"You are…" she began, tilting her head, "a very interesting human, Riven."
He glanced at her. Then at a distance. Then back at her, with the expression of a man who had correctly read the situation and was deciding what to do about it.
"I've been called worse things," he said.
"I imagine you have." She smiled into her wineglass. "I meant it as a compliment."
"I know."
The confidence of that was doing her no favors. Or several favors, depending on how one chose to look at it.
The festival noise floated up from below, soft and distant. The lanterns along the overlook's edge swayed in the coastal breeze. Kali felt pleasantly warm — from the wine, from the evening air, from the company — and she was increasingly willing to admit that the last of those three was the primary factor by a considerable margin.
"You never told me what you do," she said, not because she particularly needed to know, but because she enjoyed watching him talk. He had a way of thinking before he spoke that she found genuinely refreshing after years of rooms full of people who did the opposite. "When you're not accompanying your family on cultural excursions."
"A bit of this, a bit of that." He considered. "Mostly physical work. Moving things, fixing things. Some traveling."
"Vague," she observed.
"Accurate." A hint of a smile. "What about you?"
"Oh, a bit of this, a bit of that," she returned the answer, and watched him expression.
He chuckled. "Fair."
"I manage things," she said, which was entirely true and entirely uninformative, and she was comfortable with that. "It involves a great deal of reading things I've already read and talking to people about things I've already decided. Very glamorous."
"Sounds exhausting."
"Endlessly." She sighed with theatrical weight. "Which is precisely why this…" she lifted her glass in a slight gesture that encompassed the overlook, the city below. "Was exactly what I needed tonight."
She looked at him as she said it, and didn't look away.
The human met her gaze without flinching.
She found that unreasonably attractive and was not surprised. Confidence was always a wonderful trait for a man.
She finished the rest of her wine and set the empty glass down on the stone beside her.
"I should probably go find my family," he said, a hint of a smirk at the edge.
"Probably," Kali agreed pleasantly, making absolutely no move to stand. "That little sister of yours has had enough time to win something BIG and need someone to carry it home."
"Almost certainly."
Neither of them moved.
The breeze came in off the bay, warm and salt-edged, and stirred her hair across her shoulder. Kali watched him notice. Watched him carefully not reach for it.
Oh, he was behaving himself.
How dutiful.
She held his gaze for one more lingering moment; just long enough for it to mean something, then broke it cleanly, glanced down at her empty glass, and stood.
The stretch was entirely natural. Arms above her head, very slow yet giving a good view. Her kimono shifted with the movement, the hem swaying as she rolled her shoulders back and exhaled softly into the night air.
She was absolutely not performing this. Not even slightly.
She picked up her sandals from where she'd left them and took a few steps toward the overlook railing, each one easy and unhurried, her hips finding the rhythm of someone with nowhere in particular to be and all the time in the world to get there. She rested her forearms on the railing and looked out at the city below, letting her short hair fall forward over one shoulder, and waited to see what he'd do.
She heard him stand.
There it is.
She kept her eyes on the lanterns below, the small smile on her lips entirely private.
The footsteps stopped just behind her a little close, but not presumptuous. Still behaving. Maybe another push was necessary.
"Enjoying the view?" she asked, conversationally, without turning around.
A beat of silence.
"Very much."
He was not looking at the city. She was nearly certain of that.
Kali turned her head just enough to look back at him over her shoulder; a single, unhurried glance, amber eyes catching the lantern light, and let the corner of her mouth curve upward.
"Mm." She turned back to the railing and pushed herself more. "It really is something, isn't it? That view, so close yet so far."
The silence behind her had a particular quality to it.
"Neither do I,"
Oh, he was stepping closer. Good.
She felt the warmth of his firm body just before she felt a light pressure on her back, just above the curve of her hip. Testing boundaries that weren't, in fact, there.
"What... about the view from here?" he asked, drawing slow circles.
"I think..." she began, her voice dropping to a lower tone, a quiet hum that was nearly lost in the breeze, "I think I might have a blind spot somewhere down there, dear."
With those words his other hand came to rest on her opposite hip before giving it a squeeze and she let out her voice slip.
That was the end of restraint.
Riven's grip tightened, a grunt escaping him as he pulled her back flush against his body. The hard line of his chest pressed into her making her gasp by the sudden decisive action.
But soon there was a soft hum of approval. Kali arched back into him, a clear but unspoken permission to her partner who picked on her hints.
"You learn quickly," she murmured, her head tilting to one side, exposing the long, elegant line of her neck.
His response was not in words. He leaned in, and the brush of his lips against the sensitive skin. It sent a shiver straight down her spine, tightening things low in her belly before she bit her lower lip in delight.
But if that wasn’t enough then he moved his hand to slide from her hip, tracing the curve of her waist, the dip of her stomach, until it came to rest on the flat expanse of her belly. It was almost possessive, which was exciting her more and more.
The control she had so carefully cultivated at the start of the evening had partially dissolved. He wasn't the human boy to be guided anymore; he was a man and he was ready to take his prize.
Although, more like falling for her innocent trap.
And she loved it.
That’s why she pushed herself back, pressing her hand and getting to feel more of those muscles in a deliberate, rocking motion that earned her another groan. "This is a much better view, don’t you think?"
"I've been trying to be polite." His breath was hot against her neck.
"I appreciate the effort," she replied in a teasing whisper. "But I think you can stop now."
He didn't need a third invitation.
His hands became bolder. The one on her belly slid upward, fingers tracing the underside of her breast through the silk of her kimono. He didn't cup it, not yet at least. Just teased. A light, circling pressure that had her nipple pebbling into a tight knot. The other hand tightened on her hip, pulling her even more firmly against the growing heat at the front of his trousers.
"Mmmmm…" She could tell he was certainly a big boy.
He finally closed the last inch, sinking his teeth gently into the muscle where her neck met her shoulder. Not hard enough to mark, just enough to make her breath catch in her throat, electricity striking her nerves.
"Oh, you are not a gentleman at all, are you?" A low, throaty laugh escaped her mouth.
"You told me to stop being one," he rumbled, his tongue soothing the small sting right after that.
"So I did." She let her head fall back against his shoulder, giving him complete access. The slight vulnerability was intoxicating. For so long she had been the one in control, the one making the decisions, guiding the conversations. Tonight, she wanted to be taken.
The evening air, which had felt warm on her skin moments before, now felt cool against the flush spreading across her chest. His hands were everywhere, one now fully cupping her breast, his thumb stroking the hardened peak while the other drifted down to her thigh. His fingers found the slit in her kimono, the fabric parting easily under his touch.
She gasped as his palm slid against the bare skin of her inner thigh. He squeezed gently, a silent question, and her response was to part her legs just enough to grant him permission.
"Someone might see," he whispered, though he made no move to stop. If anything, the thrill of it seemed to spur him on his hand getting closer and closer.
"Let them…" she breathed, the words a reckless abandon she hadn't felt in years. The thought of being discovered, of being seen like this, a powerful woman of Menagerie being claimed by a human on a public overlook, sent a fresh wave of heat through her. It was a delicious, dangerous freedom.
And soon enough she felt how she was hotdogging this man causing her to shamelessly giggle because she was certain beyond any shadow of a doubt that she was going to enjoy this.
She turned her head, her lips finding the corner of his strong jaw. "Don't you dare be gentle with me now," she challenged. "I've had enough gentleness for a lifetime."
Maybe exaggeration… or not?
His response was immediate. His fingers tightened on her thigh, and his other hand left her breast to grip the silk collar of her kimono, pulling it down over her shoulder. The fabric pooled around her waist, baring her to the night air.
Yes, she was shameless enough to not be wearing a bra. A little sad that she wasn’t in position to see his reaction from this lewd revelation.
Either way she shivered, but not from the cold. The lantern light kissed her skin, highlighting the proud set of her breasts and her nipples that stood at attention. Her partner wasted no time, his hands returning to her, squeezing and kneading the soft flesh, eliciting a pleased hum from her.
She enjoyed this game but there was something missing.
Her hands reached back to grip his hips, pulling him closer and guiding him again. She ground herself against him, a slow, deliberate circle that had him growling into her neck. She could feel him a lot better, hard and pressing against her, like at any moment it that beast would spring free.
"Someone's eager," she whispered, a smile in her voice.
"You have no idea." The human rumbled, nipping at her feline ear.
But she couldn’t relish more in the moment as he spun her around, and before she could protest, he had her pressed against the stone railing. He looked down at her, his eyes dark with a hunger that made her breath catch.
This was not the same as it had started.
His hands came up to frame her face, his thumbs stroking her cheeks. But the look in his eyes was anything but gentle. There was a raw, primal need there that she hadn't expected.
Yet she welcomed it nevertheless.
She met his gaze, her own eyes just as dark. "Well? What are you waiting for?"
He didn't answer with words. Instead, he leaned in and captured her lips in a kiss that was anything but gentle. It was hard, demanding, and hungry. His tongue delved into her mouth, claiming her, tasting the wine they had shared.
She met him with equal fervor, her arms wrapping around his neck, her fingers tangling in his hair. She kissed him back just as hard, her tongue dueling with his. It was a battle of wills, and she had no intention of losing.
But then, she wasn't sure she wanted to win either.
His hands left her face, trailing down her neck, her shoulders, her arms. He paused at her wrists, his grip tightening. He lifted her arms, placing them on the railing beside her head, holding her there with one hand.
She gasped, a thrill shooting through her at the feeling of being restrained. She was completely at his mercy, and the thought was incredibly intoxicating.
"Stay." he commanded, his voice a low growl.
She did.
His hands roamed her body, reacquainting themselves with every curve and dip. He squeezed her breasts, his thumbs brushing against her nipples, sending sparks of pleasure shooting through her. He traced the curve of her hips, the dip of her stomach, the smooth skin of her thick thighs.
She was on fire, every nerve ending alight with sensation. She wanted more. She wanted him.
As if sensing her thoughts, his hands found her core. He cupped her through her panties, the thin fabric doing little to dull the heat of his touch. She moaned, her hips bucking against his hand.
She realized how soaked she was, her panties clinging to her.
Was she a lewd woman? Perhaps...
Which didn't come as a surprise as her legs quickly wrapped around his waist, pulling him close and let his tent rest above her eager quim. She could feel the heat of him even through the layers of their clothes.
"My, my, you are quite ready for me, aren't you?" She teased with a husky tone.
"Then take responsibility for this." He replied before he let go of her wrists and began to rock against her, a slow, deliberate rhythm that had her gasping for breath. The friction was delicious, a teasing promise of what was to come.
She met his movements, her own hips rising to meet him. The stone railing was cool against her back, a stark contrast to the heat of their bodies.
She could feel the tension coiling in her belly, a tight, hot knot of pleasure but it was not enough. She didn't want such a weak barrier to prevent her from reaching ecstasy.
"Riven…" she called out her name with a long moan.
He seemed to understand what she wanted. He stopped moving, leaving her panting and wanting. Then, with a quick move, he undid the knot of his trousers. The fabric pooled at his feet, leaving him bare to her gaze.
He was magnificent. Hard, proud, and ready. She reached out, her fingers wrapping around him, and he groaned, his head falling back. He was hot and heavy in her hand, a living, breathing thing that pulsed with life.
She stroked him, purposefully slow. She wanted to memorize the feel of him, the way he twitched and throbbed in her grasp.
"Kali," he groaned, his hands gripping her hips. "You're going to be the death of me."
"It's a good way to go," she whispered, her thumb brushing against the sensitive head. He bucked against her, a choked gasp escaping him.
She could feel the desperation in him, the need. Just the state she wanted him in. So naturally her free hand slid her soaked panties to the side, leaving a clear opening to her warm tunnel. She would have loved more foreplay, feel his finger dep inside her leaving her a quivering mess or squeeze that rod between her breasts, or perhaps get a good taste of him, but if she did, then she wouldn't let this human leave until morning or maybe even the day after tomorrow.
A small price to pay to scratch that itch.
But she wasn't going to just let him in, oh no.
"Patience," she purred. She guided him to her core, but not inside. Instead, she pressed the hard length of him against the slick, sensitive folds of her sex. Then she squeezed her thighs together, trapping him in a warm, tight prison of supple flesh.
He cursed, a low, guttural sound. He tried to thrust, to gain more pleasure, but she held him fast. She was in control again, and the feeling was euphoric.
"You are a wicked woman," he panted, his hands gripping the railing on either side of her head.
"And you love it," she countered, a smug smile playing on her lips. She began to move her hips, a slow, deliberate roll that had him sliding against her. She was coating him in her wetness, marking him as hers. Making sure this human could feel the heat of her core, just inches away, a temptation a delicious prize he couldn't quite reach.
This was her game now. He was a toy for her pleasure, a prey. She could feel his desperation, the way his muscles tensed with the effort of holding back. He wanted to be inside her, to bury himself to the hilt, but she was making him wait.
Making him earn it.
"Please, Kali." A ragged gasp came out.
Please. That was the magic word she had been waiting for.
She relented, not out of pity, but because the sight of him, so powerful and yet so utterly helpless at her mercy, was pushing her to the brink of her own control.
"Since you asked so nicely," she whispered, licking her lips.
With a practiced movement, she shifted her hips, aligning him with her eager, hungry entrance. An entrance so ready for him, that he naturally slid in without any resistance. They both groaned as he filled her, stretching her, completing her in a way she hadn't realized she was missing.
He was a perfect fit, a missing piece of a puzzle she hadn't even known she was solving. For an amazing throbbing moment, they just stayed there, savoring the warm feeling connecting their bodies.
Then he began to move.
His first thrust was slow, a deep stroke that had her seeing stars. He was testing her, learning her body, and she met him with her own slow, rolling circles. It was a dance, a push and pull, a rhythm as old as time itself.
The cool stone at her back was a forgotten detail, the distant sounds a mere murmur. All that mattered was the feel of him inside her, the way their bodies moved together in perfect harmony. His fingers dug into her flesh, holding her steady as he drove into her again and again.
Kali let her head fall back, a long, low moan escaping her lips. This was what she had been craving, this raw, unbridled passion, this feeling of being completely and utterly possessed. She was no longer Kali Belladonna, the chieftess of Menagerie. She was just a woman, lost in the throes of passion with a man who knew exactly how to touch her.
His pace quickened, the slow, deliberate rhythm giving way to a more urgent, demanding tempo. The sounds of their bodies meeting, the slap of skin against skin, filled the quiet night air, a testament to their shared desire.
"You feel... incredible." He panted, his forehead now resting against hers.
She could only respond with a choked gasp as he hit a particularly deep spot, a wave of pleasure washing over her causing her toes to curl. She was close, so close, the tension in her belly coiling tighter and tighter, a spring ready to snap.
And somehow he could feel it too. He reached down between them, his thumb finding her clit, the sensitive bud swollen and aching for his touch. He circled it once, twice, and that was all it took.
The world shattered.
Kali cried out, a raw, guttural sound that was swallowed by the night. Her body convulsed, her inner walls clamping down on him, hoping to milk this man for all he was worth. She saw stars, a dazzling display of light and color that left her breathless and trembling.
And then she felt that amazing throbbing deep inside her ready to explode, causing her to react from her stupor.
"O-Outside! Outside!"
He reacted instantly.
With a groan, he barely pulled out, and she felt the hot splash of his seed against her stomach on the first rope, and the second strong enough to touch her breasts.
It was really hot but it felt amazing nonetheless.
"T-That was close." Riven said, taking a deep breath.
"I-Impressive control," she managed, her voice a husky whisper. A genuine compliment, one she didn't give lightly. A lesser man would have failed, would have risked everything for a moment of bliss.
He didn't respond with words. He simply leaned down, capturing her lips in a slow, languid kiss that was worlds away from the desperate, hungry passion from moments before. This was something else.
And she felt… whole.
It was a dangerous thought. One she shouldn't be entertaining, especially not with a human she had just met, a man who was leaving Menagerie with his faunus family in a few days. But she couldn't help it.
She had intended for this to be a simple fling. A brief escape from the responsibilities that weighed her down, a moment of carefree indulgence with a very attractive stranger.
But she looked up at him, at the man who had shown her a side of herself she thought she had buried long ago. He had been more than a willing participant; he had been an equal, a partner in their dance.
"What are you thinking about?" he asked, his fingers tracing idle patterns on her stomach.
"I'm thinking," she began, her voice soft, "that I might have underestimated you, Riven."
A slow smile spread across his face. "Is that so?"
"Entirely." She leaned in, her lips brushing against his ear. "And I'm thinking that one night might not be enough."
She finished with a long lick across his cheek before she dexterously slipped away from under him.
He blinked at her sudden change in demeanor but that soon faded as she had her own ideas.
She moved with an unique mature grace, a predator closing in on her prey. She had her back on him, a small, inviting smile on her lips. She beckoned him with a single finger, a silent command that he couldn't possibly ignore.
He followed, drawn to her like a moth to a flame.
She led him to a different place with a much better view before she did her best to present herself on the railing, her hips canted at an inviting angle, her hands braced on the cool stone. The moonlight caught the curve of her spine, the swell of her hips as the rest of her finally fully left her body and was totally naked before him.
Take it.
It didn’t take long before the man moved behind her, his hands coming to rest on her waist once more. He leaned in, his lips tracing a path down her neck, his teeth grazing her sensitive glistened skin.
She shivered, a delicious tremor that ran through her entire body. "I thought you were the one in control," she whispered, a hint of challenge in her voice.
"I am," he rumbled, his hands sliding and one hand spreading her lower lips. "But a wise man knows when to defer to an expert."
“Flatterer." She giggled.
And with a single, smooth thrust, he was inside her again, filling her, stretching her in the most exquisite way making her moan louder this time before thrusting into her.
She would remember him finishing outside again or maybe a pill, although...
Although now that she put some thought into it… she wouldn't mind a happy little accident.
