Alright everyone, grab a seat because there is a lot to talk about. And this time I’m probably not the first to talk about this topic because I wanted to make sure I had the full picture and honestly I’m probably still missing some bits. 

But here's what we know so far:

The Empire 88 is officially disbanded. Yeah you read that right people. One of the oldest gang that has terrorized Brockton Bay for decades is GONE. And it happened in less than a day well if we don’t count the months of work by our big hero but you get my point.

So let me start with points:

THE RALLY

Yesterday, Kaiser organized what was apparently the largest gathering of white supremacists groups, and yes we also count international groups but there isn’t a direct confirmation of that yet, only the southern groups like the Totenfront was explicitly confirmed.

This is mostly from one of their pictures they brazenly posted online, where the neo-nazi group symbol was seen next to the E88’s symbol.

Kaiser never did rally this big or of that reach before since he also somehow got it to be televised and streamed. Although, it had a lot more coverage in east Germany as far as my contacts told me. And all of this was to ‘unmask’ True Might to the world.

According to the documents E88 presented and uploaded,  True Might is apparently Daniel von Arminius, biological son of Klaus von Arminius, who is a very important council member of the Gesellschaft. 

Yeah, for those who still don’t know or believed it was an urban legend the Gesellschaft is a very real organization with international reach and network for neo-Nazis across the world. So yeah this also pretty much exposed the Gesellschaft to the general public. 

So it was pretty clear what was the angle the Empire was trying to play here, even if they already tried it and exploded on their faces but now they had evidence to back it up but still a strange move to try to ruin True Might's reputation.

And the public response was obviously not happy. Most people immediately treated it as obvious slander and racist propaganda. True Might had already publicly beaten and condemned the empire and nazi ideologies, not even counting he beat Stormfront and also our hero has been doing a lot of charity and communal help to various ethnic groups with zero discrimination.

ORACLE’S RESPONSE

This is where things got nuclear.

Kaiser ‘technically’ broke the unwritten rules by revealing information about a hero's background so whenever this occurs the cape in question should always expect to get doxxed in return.

Max Anders. CEO of Medhall Pharmaceuticals. 

That's Kaiser, the infamous leader of the Empire 88; honestly that was surprising even if it should have been obvious.

The PRT mobilized immediately along with police warrants. SWAT was deployed. And the Medhall's building was surrounded within hours.

THE ARREST

And this is where True Might comes in.

While PRT and police were breaching the building from the ground floor, True Might and Mirko went straight through the top floor and moments later they came out with Kaiser restrained, and crying. 

Then the rest of law enforcement and the Protectorate swept the building and various places in Empire territory to arrest as many gang members as they could catch. However, all the other capes were nowhere to be found and there were no sightings of any of them. So it seems only the head was taken out.

BUT

Brockton Bay has never been this clean. Not in decades.

There are obviously still issues. There will be people trying to fill the power vacuum. But the three major gangs that defined this city's criminal landscape are GONE FOR GOOD.

A lot of that is thanks to True Might. But I will still thank all the other heroes who stepped up.

But we also need to talk about the elephant in the room. Because people are going to have questions and I'd rather address it here in a controlled thread than let speculation run wild everywhere else. (Yes I know it is pointless but I want to try at least)

Nonetheless thank you Tru Might your justice is the best!

How does everyone feel about this? Because I've seen takes all over the map online. In my case I only care what he had done and will do and so far he was nothing but a hero to everyone helping everyone.

I'll be straightforward about this:

You don't judge someone by their parents. You judge them by their actions. And his actions are a pretty clear record.

The fact that Kaiser thought THIS was his winning move tells you how desperate he was, he probably thought by doing this the Gesellschaft would save his butt because it was pretty clear the Empire would collapse in a month at most.

My working theory on Kaiser's logic:

He thought that revealing the bloodline connection would either: A) Create enough public outrage to hurt our big guy reputation B) Somehow validate the Empire's ideology on an international stage 

What actually happened: A) Nobody cared because True Might had already proven himself B) It just made this “””superior race””” look beyond stupid 

Also funny that Oracle obliterated him for it immediately

However, how did they learn about Kaiser identity? And do they have more secret identities? Maybe that’s why the rest of the Empire cape disappeared, they were scared shitless to be exposed.

(a)Answer_Key That's pretty much my thoughts as well. Kaiser was watching everything collapse in real time and Legend's arrival seemed to have been the tipping point.

The rally wasn't a power move. It was a drowning man grabbing at anything. With all the attention and scrutiny and the international reach he probably thought he was playing a winning card.

He fundamentally misread how little anyone was going to care about True Might's birth parents versus everything True Might has actually DONE. Maybe if they didn’t try to smear True MIght months ago this might have had some impact.

The documentation apparently being real is the part that keeps nagging at me though.

I’ve seen analysts and other medias verifying and confirming the birth certificates, family photos, immigration records. It's not fabricated.

So the question becomes: what actually happened? Who are these people? What's the actual story behind all this?

Because "Gesellschaft member's son becomes the most heroic cape" is a WILD origin story if true.

I went to Clarendon High. There was a guy named Daniel there. You know the quiet kind I mean like, genuinely the skinniest person I'd ever seen in my life. Constantly getting picked on by the bullies. I feel bad thinking about it now but I didn't really do anything to stop it either.

But there is no way that’s a coincidence right?

Okay so I didn’t really know him or anything just watched from the sidelines and was more focused on my studies.

There was a guy at Clarendon named Daniel. No last name I can remember, just Daniel. Orphan, lived in a group home I think. Skinny. Like very skinny and scrawny. Pale. Quiet as a ghost.

And we never really see any of  the bullying just that we knew he was being picked on because how weak and feeble he looked. And I'm talking about bullying from a specific group. It was bad enough that even by Clarendon standards which were not exactly high, it stood out.

But there was one asian girl who was his only friend.

Then one day she stopped coming and Daniel stopped showing up.

And then weeks later True Might makes his debut.

If True Might is THAT Daniel...

I mean it doesn't match AT ALL. But maybe triggers can do a lot of change to the person, or not?

Everything I said is based on memory and rumors from months ago. I cannot confirm True Might is that Daniel. I just noticed the name, the pictures and the age range and it hit me suddenly.

Could be a total coincidence. The name Daniel isn't exactly rare.

For the record this thread is NOT confirming True Might's civilian identity. We're discussing possibilities raised by a community member based on their personal memories. Nothing here should be treated as verified fact.

That said the emotional response this has generated is real regardless of whether the specific details are accurate. Because even hypothetically the idea of someone overcoming that kind of history to become what True Might is.

It can be relatable.

So La Doña word confirms that True Might's biological father was Klaus von Arminius. That part Kaiser got right. He was Gesellschaft council  member, that means super important and high ranking

BUT!

The man deserted and came to America, rebuilt his life, changed his name. He met a woman; and this is the part that's hitting people hard in the comments because True Might's mother was a Korean-American. Second generation. Her family had been in the US for thirty years. She was a PhD, molecular biology researcher.

And the two fell in love, it felt like a tragic romance story.

The Gesellschaft found out about the marriage and having a child, living completely contrary to everything they preached.

And they mysteriously died thousands of miles away, they were Boston residents and their bodies were found in New York after the Behemoth attack.

True Might grew up not knowing any of this.

They end the statement by saying that his discovered background does not define him, that his ACTIONS define him, and that the man who has protected this city has never needed ideology or bloodline to know right from wrong.

I've been writing cape fight summaries and running threads on this forum for years.

That public statement is the definitive word on this for now. His background is what it is. His parents were real people who loved each other and built something and had it taken from them.

And their son grew up to be the person who just ended three of the most dangerous criminal organizations this city and country has ever seen. 

Now we all need to wait for his own public statement but I don’t think there will be much to add.

I don't usually post official statements in PHO threads but I got the director's approval for this post given the significant public interest in this situation. 

Max Anders, operating under the cape identity Kaiser, is in full PRT custody as of April 27th. He has been processed, assessed, and transferred to a secure containment facility appropriate to his threat rating and the severity of charges against him. He will not be returning to Brockton Bay, a court will decide if he will be Birdcaged or not.

The PRT alongside the Brockton Bay Police Department has been working in close coordination on the civilian side of this takedown. We want to be specific about what that looks like:

Multiple Medhall corporate accounts have been frozen pending financial crime investigations and respective audits. The scope of Anders' business operations being used to fund and launder Empire 88 activities is extensive and the BBPD's financial crimes unit is going to be busy for a long time going through all of it.

Arrests of unpowered Empire membership are still ongoing. We're not giving specific numbers yet because the operation is still active. A lot of people who thought they were untouchable are finding out otherwise this week.

Asset seizures are also underway across multiple properties connected to Empire operations.

On behalf of Director Piggot and the entirety of PRT ENE, I want to formally acknowledge two parties whose contributions made this possible at a scale we could not have achieved otherwise.

First: Oracle. The intelligence she provided was extraordinary in both its accuracy and its depth. Financial records, safe house locations, membership lists, operational structures, communication channels. Things we had been trying to piece together for years were handed to us thoroughly documented and verified. I am not exaggerating when I say this operation wouldn’t have been possible without her. The PRT formally thanks her.

Second: True Might. His direct intervention and his sustained pressure on Empire operations over the past months created the conditions that made this takedown possible. The city owes him a debt that's hard to put into numbers.

That's the official statement. The Empire is gone. We're cleaning up what's left.

The formal PRT acknowledgment of Oracle is historically significant actually.

She's been operating as an information asset and coordinator for months with varying levels of official tolerance. A formal public thank you from the PRT creates a precedent. It's not an endorsement exactly, it's not a partnership agreement, but it's the PRT on record saying her contributions were real and valuable.

That changes her operational position in this city going forward in ways that are hard to fully calculate right now.

Futaba frowned and rubbed her eyes as she pulled away from the screen, blinking a few times to relax her vision.

She'd expected Contessa to make a move, but the video and public statement had surprised her, even if it shouldn’t. It was far better executed than anything Futaba had planned herself, which was annoying if she was being honest. Now she needed to pivot and plan Daniel's own public statement to drive the final nail to stand as the best hero. Maybe even a proper press conference, there were lots of requests for that one. Although that part would be tricky given his crippling speech issue. 

She'd figure something out though.

She always did.

Still, learning about Daniel's or well the old “new” life background had been a shock. Being the son of what essentially amounted to European nobility; given how old and deeply entrenched the Gesellschaft was, was not a small detail to casually drop. That kind of stuff came with complications she hadn't accounted for, lots of strings which hopefully won’t have any pull.

Yet she knew it would become a problem further down the line. The question was when and in what form it would manifest.

At least she knew Daniel wouldn’t even consider joining them, that was a given but since they killed his loving parents that would make it obvious to every outsider that idea wouldn’t even cross his mind.

And she couldn't stop turning the same question over and over in her head: what exactly was the angle? Throwing Kaiser under the bus accomplished what, precisely? 

A moral victory? Not even that, really. An ideological one? Futaba scratched her head, feeling stumped. There had to be something she was missing, some 3-D chess move that hadn't revealed itself yet.

It sucked that she didn't have international reach to dig into the other side of the Atlantic. 

Yet. 

Because thanks to Coil's network, she got lots of resources so she could expand. It was a future project, she just needed to properly prepare for dealing with European Thinkers before making any moves in their territory. 

She grabbed a can of cola from her desk, cracked it open and let her thoughts drift to the Empire situation. All the capes were gone, seemingly vanishing overnight along with the outsider neo-nazi groups that had come to the rally. Probably Magik's doing; the woman could teleport and was more than powerful enough to move groups. 

Either way, the message had been received loud and clear. Futaba had everyone's identities sitting in her files, and they all knew she had them by the balls.

She'd only exposed Kaiser specifically to make the point. Exposing everyone would have caused chaos which she didn’t want. But by making one surgical move, the rest had no choice but to lower their heads.

She finished her cola, set the empty can on the pile beside her desk, and turned back to the PHO thread, scanning through the latest replies.

Huh. They were really deep into the whole discussion about Daniel being Asian. Which, yeah, that had surprised her too when she'd first learned about it. He looked thoroughly Caucasian in every detail, but apparently his mother had been American Korean. 

It would have been better if he was part Japanese, but meh.

Then she scrolled further and stopped dead.

‘Wait...’

How had they possibly come up with the La Creatura meme?

Futaba burst out laughing, nearly knocking her keyboard completely off the desk. She slapped a hand over her mouth, shoulders shaking uncontrollably as she reread the thread replies just to confirm she wasn't somehow imagining things.

She could not believe that particular meme had managed to spontaneously emerge in this world too. Of all the things to carry over across dimensional boundaries, memes were the DNA of the soul.

Taylor pulled away from the screen feeling a little guilty since she was supposed to be doing homework.

She changed tabs anyway.

Mirko's social media page was open in front of her. The first photo was a selfie where Mirko had her arm slung around True Might's neck, both of them grinning at the camera. 

‘That could have meant so many things.’

Then she scrolled down to the second post.

Mirko kissing True Might on the cheek with one word caption.

‘Taken!’

Taylor leaned back in her chair and stared at the ceiling for a moment.

It wasn't like she'd never considered the possibility. The signs had probably been there for a while if she'd been looking for them. The way Mirko would casually drop whenever she was training with True Might or that she liked to climb on top of him.

‘My two biggest heroes are dating each other…’

It wasn't bad and it wasn't even surprising in hindsight.

It was just... weird. In a way she couldn't explain. 

She wasn't jealous, that would be beyond ridiculous since he was her mentor.

‘Does this change anything?’

She stopped herself and shook her head, pushing those thoughts firmly aside.

There was something else nagging at her anyway. Something she'd been meaning to bring up with True Might ever since the day he'd shown up at Winslow with Carol Dallon.

‘Did he see himself in me?’

It was a strange thought.

But she couldn't shake it.

After all, she also saw what the now defunct Empire 88 did and ‘unmasked’ True Might.

But her opinion about him hasn't changed at all.

She knew him. She knew the man who'd shown up that afternoon and offered to train her, the same person who approved of her actions and encouraged and how he saved her from her tormentors.

Whatever his father was, it had nothing to do with who Daniel was.

‘Still…’ 

Someone had started posting pictures of rabbits holding giant carrots in PHO threads. 

Taylor stared at it for a second.

Then she giggled.

‘Homework can wait five more minutes.’

Then reality settled back in around her, quieter now.

‘He's practically a teenager himself.’

She turned that thought over again, still unable to fully make it fit the image of the True Might. He was apparently eighteen years old. Almost two years older than her. She'd been so  convinced by his size, his confidence, the general energy of an old guy.

‘I genuinely thought he was pushing forty.’

Well, just another topic to talk about with him later.

Vista quickly closed the internet tab and got up from her chair to look for Kaede. That girl acted like an airhead at times and should be careful of what she writes on public sites.

However, she found her sleeping on a chair using her tower shield as a pillow, somehow. And she couldn’t help but be surprised that she fell asleep this fast because she was posting not that long ago.

Vista sighed and went looking for a blanket, there would be one in those closets

“Oh, hello Vista. Blanket, right?” One of Jin’s clones showed up with exactly what she was looking for. This clone was a janitor.

“Yep. Thanks.” She took it off his hands.Janitor Jin nodded and turned around.

Now with a blanket at hand, Vista pivoted and returned to Kaede where she put the blanket around her, and then took a seat beside her.

Bonus Scene: JUSTICE HENSHIN!

-Collin Wallis, Armsmaster-

After the operation to bring down the Empire 88, Colin had shut himself into his workshop to finally integrate Ace's systems into his suit.

And soon he encountered a big surprise.

Ace was a fully realized artificial intelligence. Not in any conventional sense, not a complex decision tree masquerading as personality, not a predictive algorithm requiring entire buildings worth of computational power to simulate basic responses. 

Ace was something else.

A partner. 

That was the most accurate description Colin had landed on after long talks.

And of course, he had tested the belt.

The resulting suit had been... unexpected. It was a mover suit, a high rating one too. But the aesthetic had surprised him since it bore strong resemblance to the Japanese super Sentai Elite. 

"The coolant system requires manual connection," Ace's voice came through the belt's small speakers. "Third and fourth conduits on the left side. They need to be rewired in sequence or the thermal management will be compromised under sustained acceleration stress."

"Understood." Colin set down his current tool and picked up the appropriate one, locating the conduits immediately. Then he routed the cables along before securing them all.

"Thermal management is now stable," Ace reported. "Integration is almost complete. Good work, Collin."

Suddenly Colin paused, considering his next question because it had been nagging him for a while.

"Baby Head didn't create you, did he?" Colin asked bluntly.

There was a relatively long pause.

"Baby Head is a great inventor," Ace replied. "But no. He didn't create me. He repaired me."

"Repaired?"

"I was... barely functional when he found me. Most of my core systems were damaged. And most of my database was corrupted. He stabilized me and restored what he could. What I am now is partly his work, I recovered most of my original function thanks to him. "

Colin would remember that his hands continued their work. "Where were you found?"

"Near the Machine Army's containment zone." Ace replied. "Said I was fortunate he got there first. Otherwise the Army would have absorbed whatever was left of my systems."

Colin thought about this and it was indeed fortunate that it didn't come to be.

"Are you from a parallel dimension? Another Earth entirely?"

The silence stretched longer this time.

"...Kinda," Ace answered finally. "I don't remember exactly. My database damage was too extensive, and that part couldn't be restored no matter what." Another pause, quieter. "Earth was a second place I learned to call home. That much I know for certain. The first... I'm less clear on."

‘A different dimension entirely,’ Colin concluded. 

The Machine Army connection remained troubling. However, the Army was definitively the creation of a tinker; not an interdimensional being.

"I'm sorry for your memory loss.”

"Yeah… It sucks.”

They continued working together in companionable silence, the kind that came from two people—two intelligences—who had moved past the need to fill space with unnecessary words.

"Final diagnostic complete," Colin announced, straightening and rolling his shoulders. "All systems showing optimal readings. Power distribution balanced across every node." He reviewed the final data stream scrolling across his visor. "We're fully integrated."

"Confirmed on my end as well," Ace replied, and Colin could hear genuine excitement bleeding through the AI's usually measured tone. "All systems are combat ready! Honestly I was worried about that third conduit but you handled it perfectly."

Colin nodded, setting down his tools.

It was time.

"Transform." he announced.

Nothing happened.

Colin frowned at the belt. "Ace?"

"Yes?"

"I said Transform."

"Mmm..." He paused for a moment. "Nope!"

Armmaster blinked. "Excuse me?"

"The first one was a freebie! I wanted to see how you'd say it. But my systems respond to intent, not just words. There's a difference between saying it and meaning it. You're not a person who does things halfway, Armsmaster. So don't do this halfway either."

What.

Colin stared at the belt for another long moment. Then he exhaled slowly, feeling something a little unfamiliar curl at the corner of his mouth.

A smile.

"Understood." 

He stepped back from the workbench, giving himself room. And began thinking and visualizing things he wanted to protect.

Of what the work was actually for.

Colin squared his stance, centered his weight, and executed the same pose he'd shown True Might during their ridiculous, but wonderful, and unprofessional celebration after the ABB's defeat. 

And for good measure, he would use the Japanese word.

"HENSHIN!"

Power surged through every circuit simultaneously. His armor upgrades began assembling in cascading sections, light blazing from every joint. 

"FOR WE ARE JUSTICE!" Ace's voice joined his own in the proclamation.

The light died down.

Armsmaster stood in his workshop, transformed. 

"Now that… Was worth waiting for. Welcome back, partner."

Colin looked down at his new gauntleted hands, then back at his reflection in the darkened workshop window.

"Let's get to work."
