And it's not even October... Why am I so excited to get all creeped out? 😅 D’Deridahn's voice coming through is always so scary!! 😨 And the entire plot is!!! 😱 I love it! Also, that low, drowing tone in the background adds perfectly to the feeling of suspense. All these little details that are put into the videos = 💯👍 As always, I'm in two minds about Blake. One part of me wants to be mad at him, dislike him for all he's doing. But I can't, not entirely. Because another part of me feels kinda sorry for him. What he's doing isn't right or good, and it all started with an unhealthy obsession. But he started it all, because he literally just wanted to save the person he loves... With the only way he was able to find. And by now we know he's been manipulated by the Sovereigns to begin with, so essentially it's not even his fault. And now he's in too deep, and he couldn't say no anymore even if he wanted to. D'Deridahn wouldn't let him stop. Blake's just a puppet at this point. Oof, I don't know what to think... And now it got even more complex. He's about to do something terrible (well, he already has at the very end of the video, what with the news broadcast). At the same time, though, it's CloseKnit he's targeting. Was that Blake's own choice, or did D'Deridahn pick the target? It's still bad - the CloseKnit folks are still people. But at least they're indeed not entirely innocent. Taking CloseKnit down would be something everyone who lost someone during the Inversion would probably support. Other people, like William, are working on chipping away at CloseKnit in various ways, too (it seems). Then again, what does wiping out CloseKnit help, if soon after all Sovereigns break free and tear Elegy apart? So, if this target was D'Deridahn's choice, he probably only picked it to keep Blake from being difficult about the task ahead. Giving him the illusion that what he's doing is at least "justified" somehow. Not that it matters to the Sovereign, but it might shut Blake's potential protest up. And if it was Blake's own idea to target specifically CloseKnit, the reason is probably the same - he has no choice, but at least he can tell himself they're "not innocent people". Just how many more times are they planning to do this kind of thing now? And where are Brachium, Scorpius, Vega and whoever else might be able to help stop the end of the world? 😨 This plotline always has me on the edge of my seat!

Good fucking lord this was another breed of insanity! I felt so immersed in this audio! The manipulation and guilt tripping with the gaslighting too was just perfect! I love how in each new episode of the Blake series ever since D’Deridahn came along, you can hear there’s less and less ‘Blake’ in his voice. Not like the possessed voice when he’s being controlled, but actual Blake. You can tell he’s losing himself. I feel like so much of the inversion was people with the mentality of “I would sacrifice myself to save the world.” and Blake is the “I would sacrifice the world to save you.” among it all. Ohh, and the chills I got when he put Bestie to sleep, WOW, my chest was aching so bad I had to grip my shirt and take a few deep breaths, haha. Only for the aching to return twice as bad at the ending. I was on the train while listening and got a weird look from the lady next to me when I jolted up from my seat 😅 Anyway, I had a lot of thoughts while listening to this and I had to share them before my phone died. I can’t wait for the next audio, in this series and in general. I wonder if the next one will include more information on the event, like if someone nearby was the next character. Maybe Kody or any of the McKinley boys? Could be Brachium or Hush or Avior too… 🤔 Well, even if it’s none of them, I’m still excited for what comes next!

I’m more of a lurker, but I just feel the need to comment. Holy. Shit. Like holy fucking shit dude. I’m a lore hound, so series like The Balance and Sovereigns Lullaby tend to take the cake for me, and this whole audio just fed the part of my brain that’s been hyper focused on the sovereigns and what comes next for so many storylines. I personally have a rather big dislike for Blake as a romantic character, but I fucking adore him as a villain. And I love how his morals are being displayed. I wonder how much of him is even left, because it seems like he’s decaying mentally. I love that he genuinely scares me as a character. I had to pause so many times because I literally jumped at the outbursts, even though I was actively reading along. Even while relistening, they still got me. And to also comment on the new Corvus video, because I also loved that one, I’m so glad Dreamer is exploring their trauma. I also genuinely wonder if Dreamer keeps in contact with James or Anton. And I wonder if their relationship with their sister is strained. I honestly wonder if their family even knows about the specifics of their latency breaking. And something that’s bothered me for a while about Project Meridian is the fact that Dreamer knew about the Sovereignty in the meridian. They don’t seem to be very familiar with demons, and it seems as though there aren’t many demons that even know of the Sky Gods, much less about them being in the meridian. So how?? Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I feel like the reference to N’Dellex pushed me to mention it. Note for you, Erik, you’re doing fucking awesome. Your universe has me fully enthralled, and I’m so happy that I found your work. You’re doing amazing, and you deserve everything you’ve got and more. Don’t forget to take care of yourself, and have an awesome and amazing night/day!!
