I know Blake is supposed to be yandere and therefore kinda bad at the whole "understanding and empathizing with others" thing, but I really want to grab him and yell at him for taking me to A RACIST CULT RALLY. ok, so. I have a few problems with this line of reasoning, obviously. The first is that I haven't heard any justification for the Weaver's existence besides that they Should exist. and at its core, every other argument of the cult stems from the shaky existence of the Weavers. Zeke has used that one argument to justify an entire belligerent lifestyle and discrimination an entire category of being. I saw a few people on the first video saying that they didn't really see the problem with this line of reasoning, but I think that big flaw has been my line of defense against cult indoctrination.

THAT BEING SAID, the way this is presented hides that flaw very well. For a lot of people, the idea that the Weavers exist because they should is enough. Also, in both videos, the scripting is excellent in that both characters are convincing because they leave no room to doubt them. Everything is presented as factual. Of course the Weavers exist, of course the demons trapped them, of course the demon never needed to feed on us. And, like any good indoctrination, it tries to alleviate that one nagging feeling that, hey, this is discriminatory by reassuring over and over that only the old generation was wrong. The new generation, they only have the potential to be violent, the potential to be cruel, the potential to be evil.

connecting alllllll of that to the other audios, it's easy to see how someone (Blake, maybe?) could become radicalized to the point of taking action against demons (like Avior). You see a demon doing anything questionable, and your immediate response is associating them with the old generation, which you have been taught was evil. All that aside, though, we had better HOPE that CloseKnit never learns about Vega, Ivan, and Baby, if they haven't already. We do not need more justification for anti-demonic violence

Wait, the scripting is is so damn good it really uses all off the actual cults codes. For example, telling their story withs absolutely no doubt of it being real, but also not having any proof. All of their theorie is based on weaver’s existence, but again no proof of that. Also why would Weavers give power to some of us and let most humans unempowered.

That was the most upset I've gotten listening. It was just so believably awful. How Zeke just seemed like an awkward person who found a way to worm into getting people to follow him... such a good characterization. Also... I agree...how dare he talk about our sweet puppy Caelum like that! Where is his assigned daemon to suck these negative emotions..... Great work as always!
