Sir, who gave you the right? in all seriousness, this is in my top two storylines of your making. This narrative delves so deceptively deep into the ethical quandaries of technology and progress that putting the listener into the position of a not-so-autonomous android was an absolutely brilliant twist, I am a research ethicist, and these are questions we propose so often. I cannot wait to see what becomes of the android and of Marcus. Hearing James call what happened to them an "abuse of power" was jarring. Incredible work, as always. Thanks for the amount of work you constantly put it (now time to be haunted by project meridian)

As bad as I feel for Marcus James isn’t really wrong, Marcus knows what he’s doing is wrong but he was so clouded by loneliness he ignored all the red flags because he wanted to feel loved even to the point where it became toxic. James isn’t at all a good guy because he was going to exploit our obsessive tendencies until he realized how badly it effected everything else we were capable of. Honestly I mainly just feel bad for the listener since we’re being taken advantage of and given no say in how we’re supposed to feel or act

Oh shit! I was so sure that James was gonna use the obsession code to his advantage, but you subverted my expectations. Well done sir! While what he said about Marcus wasn't technically wrong, it still fell kinda manipulative the way he brought it all up. I am now extremely worried for Marcus' safety! This was so good!

I’m uh kinda scared for Marcus cuz idk if the feelings Love had for him will pull thru reactivating and if he’ll survive. Will they feel anger towards him? Disgust? Betrayal? I don’t really like James but he is saying the truth. And this hit me hard: “A friend is someone who respects you. And cares about you. Not someone who uses their control over you to dictate your entire life. Apologies and platitudes mean nothing when the behavior doesn’t change with them….But how many times do we give someone a free pass for continual abuses of power just because he’s hurting inside?” That kinda describes my ex who knew exactly how to talk, what to do, and how to act to (according to friends, family, and well my therapist) control me. See? And even now part of me doesn’t believe it. (I don’t have an excuse and I’m not crying victim. There’s no code in me. I’m just an idiot that had to learn the hard way.) These stories hit so hard sometimes. It’s an amazing thing to accomplish and you’re truly talented to get thru to your audience like that.
