Card Process Update (Patreon)

Hey everybody (important bit is bolded below):

I wanted to address the card situation and announce some changes designed to improve it. I'm halfway through the September and October cards, and they'll be sent out this Monday. That said, obviously I'm late on the cards again. Very late, as has become the norm. I don't like that. I don't like continually failing to meet deadlines, most of all in this area when it's something I'm literally being paid to do. It's not appropriate, and it needs to change. It's been a struggle to balance the amount of content I want to get out, real life concerns, and completing those cards in the timely manner in which they should be finished.

To that end, I need to simplify the card process so it's less arduous of an undertaking. Right now, trying to track individuals' previously received cards to prevent dupes, writing an ever-growing number of new ones each month, getting them all printed, organized, sealed, and shipped out has become a logistical mess that has led to these continual delays, which I'm sorry for, and which I'm not going to let continue. I hold myself to a high standard in all things that I do, and I don't want to continue to slip up on this. SO, to make that happen, starting this month and for all months going forward:

Each month there will be four (4) character options for all Obsessed tier patrons to choose from.

These four options will rotate each month. (e.g. the November selection is David, Sam, Lasko, and Imperium!Vindemiator, December will be four different characters, January will be four characters different from both of those sets, etc.)

All the cards created from here forward will be brand new, so if one of the characters on offer for that month is one you've previously received a card from, rest assured, it won't be a repeat, no matter how many you've gotten from them in the past. They will all be written specifically that month, which should also keep them more relevant to the current state of that plot/relationship.

I know this isn't ideal. There will potentially be months where you aren't interested in any of the characters on offer, and I'm sorry for that. I'll announce a month's options before that month begins, so that you can make an informed decision on whether or not to be at the Obsessed tier for that month; I completely understand not wanting to pay for something you aren't interested in. Since I'm just now springing this on you all after you've already paid for this month, if any of you are unhappy with the selection for this round, just let me know and I'll refund you. I'm incredibly grateful for all of your support and patronage, and while I don't like the thought of limiting what I've previously offered, I would rather you all actually get what you pay for in a timely, organized manner rather than have you all in the dark while I'm struggling to catch up. With this new system in place, I should be in a position to actually send these cards out on an appropriate timetable.
