I'm really curious now, does that even work on Love? I imagine not as well since they're not human... but since they tried making them so human, I'm really curious if he can read their mind and how he was able to see that they were having their own mind eatin away by that code. I know people saw James as a bad person when he was introduced, but I honestly never saw him as such. You can tell he is smart, but didn't really get any bad vibes from him other than, he's formal, educated, and I can see how that can be intimidating, even on purpose. I will say I absolutely do not blame Love for just sending him away after all that. You don't think about it till James confirms that Marcus is able to stop them from doing what they did.. Even Brian confirmed it way before he did.. Really goes to show how some people can't see that they're being used and mistreated until someone brings that realization to you.. Especially with how the code was literally taking that away from them... While I think he could have been a good person, it probably was for the best that they parted ways.

What an interesting turn! So I'm going to hazard a guess that James is a telepath? Marcus's sadboi arc has been set aside in favor of James, it seems; which I love. Creating a less passive more integral role for the listener and allowing them to access more information should allow for myriad of possibilities! Will they be imbued with magical skill, or just knowledge of it?

Yikes...well that was awkward, but definitely a conversation that needed to be had. Not gonna lie I did feel bad for Marcus as he was leaving but at the same time, I mean, you can't mistreat someone like that and take away their autonomy. It wasn't fair to Love so it's nice to see them have that control back. On the other hand, at least we'll get to find out more about Project Meridian!

Bruh as much as I feel bad about Marcus, this talk was a long time coming and he deserved it for taking Love's ability to decide what they want on their own... This series is making me more and more curious about what's gonna happen next to the both of them especially now that Love has access to the data

Memory Modification is a terrifying concept to me. Especially in the broader Empowered deciding what Unempowered can and can't know, and having the power over them to alter as they see fit (there are laws, but laws are made up by people and change all the time. All it would take is a change in leadership, or something drastic enough happening to force currently leadership's hand... It's just a scary concept.) So although I think Marcus got let off very easy here, I'm also kinda... I can't place the emotion. There's a bad feeling around him being robbed of memories. James is... I like the cut of his jib and the things he says but he also gives off a "you are company property" vibe. Very curious as to whether he can read Love's mind. Very happy that Love is getting access (for now I guess. We don't know fully what this project is going to entail). I'm intrigued by this storyline. Can't wait to see where it goes :)

Ok I’ve got to say it’s been interesting reading the comments because what I hear is that James is VERY dangerous and calculating. He is NOT good news for Love. If he is a telepath and knew this was happening all along why did he not stop it much, much earlier. He allowed damage to be down to Love by allowing it to continue. Also (and I will die on this hill) Love still loves Marcus. Love is protecting him by getting him out of there. They asked if memory modification would hurt him. They chose not to pursue legal avenues. Their story is not over.

I know ya'll might disagree with me in this, but I don't trust James. He seems 'good', even trustworthy...but I'm catching a vibe. While I don't condone Marcus' actions AT ALL, I can't help but sort of sympathize with him just a tad. He just wanted to be loved. He went about it in all the wrong ways, for sure, but I just can't totally say I dislike him. It's a completely human thing to take advantage and twist peoples emotions like he did. If I was in his shoes, and had the ability to make someone love me unconditionally, would I make that decision? Again, I am in *no way* condoning what he did; I just feel like his choices and his reasoning were somewhat....relatable? As always, Erik, well done! Can't wait to see where this story goes!

Sweet fucking justice! Look, I love obsessive Yandere types but because of the whole absolute lack of consent thing Marcus and I are not friends. His cries were pretty heart-wrenching tho I’ll give him that. God I am so curious about what the magic world has to do with an Android. I am completely in the dark. And especially what Love/The Asset has to do with the Meridian. So far, the campaigns have been #DeckKody, #DeckTheMeridian, and I was wondering if there’d be interest in #DeckMarcus but I wonder if that cold rejection is even worse than any display of emotion towards him. I mean, he deserves a kick in the nuts maybe. I also wonder if this is it for him. I still don’t trust James but considering the story line of being manipulated and betrayed, I think it’s a good call to just hold everyone at arm’s length. Loving this. Especially calling Marcus out on his shittiness and giving him the consequences. Still, can’t help feeling a little sorry for him…

Whoa! This was so awesomely intense! Bravo, Encore! 🤯👏 It definitely succeeded in feeling like an inevitable culmination of the many events in this storyline... I had genuine chills the whole time. It was great! Having James' input/perspective added into the narrative has been so fascinating to me. His viewpoint really presents these occurrences from within a vastly different framework. There are so many layers to this plot! Overall, I do (or, maybe it's now more accurate to say that I DID, at one point) have a degree of sympathy for Marcus and his loneliness... But as James aptly put it... That sympathy has limits. With that said, I'm not gonna lie: Hearing James unflinchingly hold Marcus accountable for his actions felt very good! So vindicating! And while I have no doubt that James has his own angle in all of this, and that he is clearly no saint, either... The man has a point. Many, incredibly valid, points! I'm also relieved that Love will now regain some sort of agency in their life, along with a bit of potential closure. Now, not to be overlooked, the other massively important, ongoing plot point: Project Meridian itself! James is probably a Telepath? Memory Modification? What is ETS, really? Why do they need an Android at all? What kind of magical information will Love now possess? What does this mean for the Magical world!? What's ahead!? What will actually happen to Marcus, though? 🤯😵‍💫 My goodness... As I said in my comment on the previous installment of this series: My mind is absolutely spinning with theories and questions! My thoughts are currently buzzing at a million miles a minute. I love that. It's all so intriguing. Also, I just have to reiterate: The way this audio was put together, it was fantastic! The behavioral contrast of James' cool and calculating speech, put directly up against Marcus' frantic nervousness and expressions of guilt... The sheer magnitude of that conversation was palpable. It captured my attention, and didn't let go of it for the entire audio duration! Amazing writing, performance, and editing, Erik. Stunning work!
