Ive been waffling on writing this comment out for awhile, but I think I really do want to put this here even though it's kind of a difficult subject. I am a trans man; I've talked a little about it here before but I don't like to do that much online. It's relevant to this though, because while I'm overjoyed to be out to friends and taking steps to become the person I've always known I was supposed to be, being trans is difficult, especially given the political climate in the US currently. I have it easier than many others do but the weight of the vitriol coming from news outlets and bigoted people all over is nearly unbearable sometimes. It keeps me up some nights, when I stay up too late and my head starts to spiral. It started happening a lot and I couldn't figure out how to get my mind to quiet down; and then this audio came out. The first few times I listened to it I was focused on the story and the spice, but it slowly became my go-to for bad nights because it's the only thing that can bring my spinning head to a complete standstill. Something about it completely dissolves the part of my brain that knows this is a recording and I react as if I'm being spoken to directly. When James says I'm safe, I believe him. When he says I'm loved, I believe him. His gentle voice, the echoing of the telepathic effect and the soft humming in the background settle straight into the back corners of my brain and I often fall asleep before it's halfway over. I feel like every level of anxiety I have about myself, my future, the possibilities of my life, all smooth out and disappear and I can just float for awhile. That is such a gift and I can't thank you enough.

Ok I'm high af rn and I wanted to see what happens to my silly hungry little endorphin bois if I give this a re-listen For some unknown reason, my stoned as hell subconscious decided that James sounded patronizing and seemed to baby talk to me So I'm lying there, 4:00am, talking to myself like I'm crazy, saying "keaton, you don't actually find James annoying, that's the devil's lettuce talking". Then James would say something and I'd immediately whip my head over in his direction in my mind and start giving him snark Then I'd remember that 1, this isn't real, 2, he can't hear you, or respond, and 3, I don't normally feel this way! I got into hypnosis a while ago and when I found out about this audio I was so excited to listen since I really enjoy all your (spicy and non spicy) content. when I tell you I listened to this 5 times now and the trance relaxes me so much that I fall asleep EVERY TIME. I hope I’m just not hearing things but there’s a “vibration” sound that builds up in the audio, right? I unfortunately couldn’t listen to the rest of the audio because it felt uncomfortable in my brain (that’s the best way I can explain it) and since I haven’t listened to the full audio and I haven’t listened to any audios recently due to life getting in the way, I might have missed some info that would explain it. If anyone knows anything I’ll appreciate being enlightened 😅

the vibration noises i believe were part of the hypnosis. they definitely taper off further through, since it did hurt my head a bit too (ofc not the fault of erik though)! there wasn’t really anything lore heavy once it hit bonus audio material, except sweet kisses at the end. i believe around 00:57:20 that noise stops, if you wanted to catch the end!
