Kale

I saw the blue and purple color pallet and knew this was going to be a rough one

hellipe

Oh the ending…cutie noooooooo

LukaDarling

Listening to this may have been a mistake because I have been in a more realistic version of Geordi's situation regarding trauma and boundary pushing, but this is an important conversation to have and it's good to explore the maybe more negative aspects of an interpowered couple. As much as this was painful to consume, you're doing a fantastic job of exploring these topics. Keep it up Erik ❤️ (But also please give Geordi a break soon I'm literally begging)

Idoken27

This is good but omg I hate me 😩😩😩

emma ‼️

Geordi could leave us at this point and I wouldn’t be mad; we’re kinda toxic and he deserves better </33

Jasmine Forrester

The way I was whispering pls don't pls don't hoping to god that I didn't hear the telepathy sound and wen it did happen I turned the audio off. It literally feels so intruding I hate it and I'm uncomfortable. If we broke up I would completely understand why cause why is it so hard to wrap their head around common decency. It's agitating.

juli

oh no cutie :( they love him but they aren’t being understanding or respecting him, i hope they understand that they need to do better, geordi has been hurt so much before, they should want to make sure it never happens again

Chaotic

Geordi deserves better. He said no. There are audios on here that have torture but the end of this one messed me up more than those.

EmSterling93

Is it possible to hug a fictional boi? Cuz I will. Also, Cutie, sweetheart...I'm disappointed.

Saya

Cutie whyyyyyyy Even though I’m annoyed I just want Geordi to be happy he deserves it

Crimson Wolf

This bought me to tears I have been through the same situation as geordi and I love it Erik how your exploring more of this and hopefully their relationship will get better so that both cutie and geordi are happy. Keep up the awesome work Erik love your content so much ❤️❤️❤️

Origene

Even with the warning, Cutie jumping in his head at the end was rough. They’re listening, but they’re not hearing him. Putting up boundaries can already be so difficult…Needing to frequently explain/remind someone why you have them? That cut close. I hope with time they understand and I’m sure they can get there, but for now my heart hurts for Geordie 💛 Incredible as usual Erik! Thank you! ✨

Empress Arcana

I can understand wanting to be there for the person you love, listen to them, comfort them, all of it. Still, on a personal level, I can relate to feeling stepped on, people crossing my boundaries, needing to put clear lines between what is good for me, what is not so good, especially when it comes to people. I’m sure we all can relate. This hurt so much, trust is so important and everyone deserves someone that at least tries to understand this concept. I feel so much for Geordi right now, crying from the emotions and frustrations, wishing those last minutes of the audio hadn’t happened. Oh, this one hurt a lot, hit so deeply, too. I want to thank you, Erik, for sharing another amazingly real (albeit fucking painful) situation, even in your world of magic, telepathy, and everything in between. Remember to stay hydrated and sending all the feel good vibes your way!

Litlkim

The way you can take characters in a magical world and so easily make them relatable to all of us is amazing writing. That thought most of us have had while driving, putting everyone else’s needs above your own, regardless of the pain it may cause you, while at the same time, others not giving you that same courtesy. My former best friend was the epitome of “what’s the big deal?...I don’t care so why should you?...Just don’t think that way and let it go...” The premise of “I shouldn’t have to explain myself, you should just respect what I’m asking because it’s important to me” was perfectly written and acted 🥺 Why is that so hard for some people to understand??? Geordi has become such an important, relatable character. I’m so glad you took that leap of faith and brought him to everyone 💜

Evelyn Henriquez

Listening to this I was saying “I have a bad feeling about this.”

Echo

I swear to Lucifer, if you break them up, I will never forgive you Erik. Don't you do this. Geordi is a perfect beautiful boi. We need him. He needs our love. Why must you hurt us like this?

iChiChiChan

I dont like that we are always violating his boundaries

Bambi

🥹🥹🥹 I'm totally fine,,,,,,,, just appreciating how well written it is mhm,,,,,, 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

m.a.w.

I honestly love how this is our first (second) imperfect Listener. Cutie is 100% in the wrong. One own self insecurities should not overlap your significant other’s boundaries. I want Gordie and Cutie to be happy but if Cutie cannot understand boundaries which Gordie is clearly setting up, he needs to choose his own mental happiness and safety over Cutie.

ejunkiette

Trust goes both ways! I love how you're exploring their relationship and the difficulties magic and telepathy adds to it, and the importance and need for boundaries. God, Geordi needs a hug.

Crow

Poor Geordi. What Cutie did and does is NOT okay. I feel so sorry for him.

Rose Lacey

Poor Geordi, he should just end it Cutie clearly won't respect boundaries

Emma H

HOW ARE YOU GONNA END IT THERE???

anna mcburney-grosch

I really hope that cutie COULD PLS HAVE SOME BOUNDARIES WITH HIM PLSSSSS

Syn Unknown

oop. Syn forgot to read the tags, but also damn. DAMN. It was a weird emotion that hit me in an unexpected way. It was painful but also comforting. It's really hard for me to come up with the words to explain, but... it was wonderful. Thanks for all your hard work. ^^

Xander Niqueal

Geordi is literally my baby and I love seeing him be posted but THIS??? this hurt oml. you're truly so talented

darbyofshire

This hurt SO much, both through Geordi and Cutie's eyes. Erik, your writing never ceases to bring me awe. -With Geordi's "Don't guilt me for asking for [a basic boundary]." as a child who was not allowed to have boundaries. Who was taught that the highest form of love was to have no boundaries. Fighting that ingrained dysfunction every day for myself. -With Geordi's: "Don't give [a boundary] conditionally. Don't treat it like something you can keep pushing." as my heart cracked as I held the line of my boundaries against loved ones. Because I knew it was right, but it aches. Because I am worth someone who will listen and hold the boundary with me. With Geordi's two observations of Cutie. -"This isn't something to fix. It's not broken, it's feelings." as someone who learned at a young age that if I could be helpful, I would be enough. If I could be useful, I could earn love. -"Not knowing hurts you." because not knowing feels like danger. Because knowing feels like safety. Knowing feels like access to control when safety and control were foreign to you. Is it possible these interpretations largely consist of my own projections and were completely unintended? Absolutely. But that's the beauty of listener inserts. Thank you for creating and sharing, Erik. This is important content. Phew, I feel like I just cried through a therapy session. Hey, at least my Patreon membership is cheaper than my copay 🤷‍♀️ {Theory: I think Cutie's silence on their upbringing spoke volumes and will be touched upon later. It felt connected to two specific reactions of theirs; Cutie saying they would leave the house when Geordi became outwardly emotional, then asking if he wanted them to sleep separately at the end. Cutie was raised in a house like that. Where boundaries were non-existent. If someone was upset with you, you removed yourself wholly i.e. they did not want you around. Ow.}

( ^ω^ )

I am only half way through the audio and I am sobbing 😭

Locke

this is the equivalent of every "thanks, i hate it" (lovingly) ever

Carmilla Dragyns

I...don't think I can finish it. I'm not even 2 minutes in, and because I know what's coming...my heart is racing while my mind...I'm the kind of person that hates doing something wrong and upsetting the people close to me due to childhood trauma...I care about Geordi very much, and if he says that he needs to go Private, I will respect that. Edit: I just did, and...I feel like I'm a horrible person! TAT I wanna go cry, even if I feel that I don't deserve to...

RainyDay

Whew ok, I got a little spooked by the warnings but it wasn't as rough as I thought. I think if the argument had started about Cutie butting into his head without his permission again, like he heard them respond to his thoughts when they weren't supposed to or something, after they've had that exact argument and Cutie's been good about asking permission and not intruding, I wouldve been much more uncomfortable. But this conversation makes a lot of sense. Cutie has an easy time respecting Geordi's boundaries when he asks usually, but I could see why they'd feel upset when he wanted them out while HE was upset. They want to help him more than anything, but they're coming at him from a completely different angle and can't understand why he doesn't always want their help. I'm proud of them for not going in during the argument, that mustve been really hard. I'm curious about Cuties past and what makes them how they are; if it truly is just blinding magical priveledge, and it really never occurred to them that people's thoughts are a private thing, or if something happened that made them feel responsible for people's feelings and "fixing" them. It could be both honestly, I could see how growing up with that power and always being able to say the right thing to calm people down, youd just take that on as a part of how you make friends and interact with everyone. Growing up in an...emotionally charged household, I learned to be hypervigilant of others feelings and find myself always working to calm people and diffuse tension, even if it's not in my own best interests, or theirs. Tension is uncomfortable and scary but absolutely necessary sometimes, and that can be unbelievably hard to learn when youve figured out a way to avoid it. I wish Cutie hadnt listened in on Geordi there at the end but I can also empathize completely. I don't know if I could've resisted either, to be honest. And the fact that they only stay in for a bit and then come out again gives me a bit of hope; they heard (even if they shouldn't have) how badly they'd hurt him, and we know that despite their flaws, thats the last thing Cutie wants. I think they'll get better, with time. This storyline is a really fascinating look at the uneven power dynamic between someone with magic and someone without; and on another level, how you can hurt someone without meaning to and go too far in your desire to help, that doing the right thing for someone isn't always easy for you, and that struggling with it doesnt make you a bad person. I'm glad I decided to listen despite being a little nervous, and I'm definitely excited to see how these two navigate going forward. Great job as always!

RainyDay

I'm also so proud of Geordi for holding his own and enforcing his boundaries with his partner, especially after a bad day where he felt down on himself for struggling to do just that. Standing up for yourself against someone you love is so, so hard and he's doing an amazing job. It shows he really wants their relationship to work and hes doing everything he can to tell them what he needs and where he's coming from. We love a strong boy who knows his worth 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Georgia Morgan

oh my god i just noticed the 2 faces in the heart woah

L.L

On today's episode of how fucked up is fucked up. *listens and nods*. Das fucked up 🤭🤭 BUT I am very excited to see how this resolves or gets worse. Cutie needs to work through their own concerns and traumas if they want to remain at Geordi's side. He is putting in work and they need to buck up and figure jt out.

Mimi

Damn that one hurt

Cole

Geordi deserves to be treated with respect and compassion and while I think cutie is acting from a place of love they are hurting him by pushing him to do things he isn’t comfortable doing or isn’t ready for and that’s not okay. They both seem to have reactions that could stem from trauma. Cutie being unable to trust other’s honesty in actions and words and many many things that geordi has done or said. I hope they both are able to work it out. Maybe try couples therapy.

Carmilla Dragyns

I just hope that they make it up to Geordi...

Shana

iroasjiofewjaiof Erik, omg, I know that this is all fiction, but the way this all feels so real is just mind blowing... I feel like Geordi isn't the only one that has has trauma from a previous relationship... While I think it definitely was 100% wrong of Cutie to intrude on his thoughts at the end of the video, also I feel like just getting that small glimpse of his thoughts there was something that they did need to hear. To see that he was not lying to them when he said he was truly upset, that he loves them even though they tried to push him, and that they should be working towards trust what people say, what he says, rather than needing to have access to his and other people's thoughts all the time. I hope we get more info about what happened in Cuties past as well as Geordis, but more importantly, I hope that they both come out ok and they can help each other get to a better place.

SebCastellanYES

AAAAAAAA FUCK FUCK WHY ARE WE SUCH A DICK???? Geordi is me and I am Geordi. The thing about the voice in his head that tells him to like drive off the road I almost threw my phone across the yard. I cannot stand that voice and it’s so strong and loud sometimes and I found out some people don’t even have that??? God what is that even like??? Poor Geordi. I get where Cutie is coming from but when he says no and asks for space YOU FUCKING DO IT. Christ, Cutie kinda thinks like my ex. I hope we learn and don’t end up breaking up but I’d side with Geordi if we did tbh.

Void

Of course me being like “Yeah sure I get it, totally understandable that you don’t want anyone in your stressed out brain. That’s totally okay sweetheart.” But Cutie has fucking other plans. I just wanna grab them and shake them because they are pissing me off.

Eros

Even though I'm disappointed in Cutie and was a little upset we couldn't just understand where he was coming from or understand/respect his boundaries I also empathize with Cutie (and Geordi but focusing on Cutie rn) or at least my interpretation of Cutie. I saw someone mention something about home life and Cutie asking if Geordi he wanted them not around or to sleep somewhere else cause he was openly emotional with them and i feel like this speaks for Cutie a bit. We're all humans at the end of the day, yea? I know where I live, boundaries don't exist and I never really knew the concept of setting boundaries or anything like that until last year. Where I grew up it was a 'walking on egg shells' situation and at any chance some particular people in my family would blow up with rage/anger and no one would talk about their feelings in a healthy way and it was a very toxic environment. i had to become aware of other peoples emotions too out of fear for saying something wrong a certain time and getting ripped apart lol (also my boundaries are crossed on a daily still :skull:) but i'm saying this cause, even though im upset with cutie and i wish they knew better, i know i have been in their place before in my own type of way. They are not bad and they aren't less deserving of love because they don't understand and if we see Cutie grow and learn from this.. its going to be such a cathodic feeling and in the future if Geordi and Cutie reference this point and how they've grown... im gonna sob lol. Also just.. Cutie asking if he wanted them gone also hits something in me when it comes to those 'egg shell' moments i mentioned.

Lovely Deviant Alyssa

This was incredible, heart-wrenching, and so emotionally authentic! I know I must sound like a broken record at this point, but I am truly at a loss for words once again. I'm in awe. There is so much genuine emotion, and characterization/storytelling complexity on display here. And I felt every bit of it. The full spectrum of emotion. With this plotline, I did wonder when these multifaceted issues in the relationship would come up again. And as much as it was absolutely heartbreaking to hear, I'm so proud of Geordi for standing his ground, and expressing himself. That takes immense amounts of bravery, and it can be so hard to do. Especially when you've been repeatedly made to feel like your emotions and boundaries aren't valid, in the past. I've always felt that I could relate to the character of Geordi, for many reasons. And those feelings of connection have only grown, with this new installment. I empathize with him so much. So, to see him make countless attempts to reach out to Cutie, in hopes of achieving an understanding... Only to have those very valid wishes and reactions brushed aside again, and to have his request for boundaries be ignored... I felt that, deeply. Needless to say, when Geordi finally let more intensity show through in his response, I was absolutely cheering him on (and openly crying, to be honest.) To put it simply, this audio resonated with me in a powerful way. It felt very cathartic, as Geordi got to say things that I've always wanted to say, in certain situations within in my own life. There are definitely more than a few tears falling onto my keyboard right now. Again, this was so beautifully done, in all aspects. There are just no words to fully encapsulate how incredible I think this audio is, and how sincerely it impacted me. Wonderful work! I understand that every story has multiple sides to it. And I can even objectively understand why Cutie thinks they are, "helping," and possibly communicating more "effectively," in their own opinion. But I just can't support their way of going about it! Not after Geordi has repeatedly tried to (compassionately) explain HIS viewpoint. He's practically begging Cutie to understand why telepathy doesn't always fix things, and why he wants certain boundaries maintained. He's asking them for the absolute BARE MINIMUM of privacy and consent!!!! So, seeing that Cutie can't even allow him THAT BASIC NEED AND RIGHT? It is extremely worrying. I get the impression that Cutie has become very accustomed to the level of, "All-access" that their powers grant. I'm sure it provides a way for them to feel more in control or comfortable in situations, and probably works to quell a lot of their own anxieties. But no magical ability can override the importance of healthy, open communication, consent, personal boundaries, and respect. With all that said, Cutie's behavior at the end of the audio was so frustrating and gravely disappointing. It certainly made me even more upset and heartbroken, on Geordi's behalf. Also, Cutie knows that Geordi has no way of independently detecting their presence within his mind. And Cutie still used that vulnerability to their advantage. And to make things even worse, it all happened just as Geordi was trying to convince himself that he could in fact, continue to trust them. It just shattered my heart 💔 In its entirety, this audio is such an amazing reprise of sorts, when put next to Geordi's debut audio. The choice of description tagline — the well-known phrase, "once more with feeling" — is such a great way to sum up this video! And again, this audio was fantastic, and emotionally Earth-shaking, in such an astounding way. I applaud you endlessly, Erik! Everything was amazing! I am eagerly invested in this story, and I look forward to more in the future! 💜 OH! And I can't forget to mention: The visual assets for this audio were all awesome! I loved how the colors in the video art shifted, along with the emotional tone of the audio itself. Beginning at a deep, warm magenta, and fading to a colder purple and blue gradient. That was such an interesting visual addition to the ambiance! Such a cool detail!

Me: yeah sure of course take ur time… cutie: hahah I don’t think so

petition for an apology video :) fucking sobbing every time i think about this audio
