I’m so excited. This - THIS - is my kinda angst. I absolutely Adore world-ending stories. I love seeing universes, whether someone else’s or my own, crumble into nothing. I’ve always found a lot of beauty in this sort of thing. Being introduced to the Imperium last year was awesome and seeing the Cataclysm teaser got me hyped. Like “Yes! He’s gonna do it! We’re all gonna Die!!” 😂 Maybe if you psychoanalyze me, there’s something wrong, but I choose to believe this weird thing is because I’m goth 😂

Ok so when does Erik finally make it big and blow up as a professional VA because goddamn he is good. The sound of Echo’s voice and how he speaks is like something underlying, like when you notice something small is wrong but you ignore it and hope it goes away when you know it won’t and will probably get worse and then finally it’s something that can’t be ignored anymore. I wish I could explain it better but I’m running on 3 hours of sleep and I’ll probably do it again. His voice just invades and grabs your attention slowly. The bit where our reaction to fiction is real? I was listening like at first like “oh Echo you cheeky little shit” and then I was reliving every single painful thing in fiction I’ve ever felt. Erik, you’re goddamn amazing. Now if you’ll excuse me, my heart needs a bandaid.

Oh, my God! This was incredible! 🤯😍 I've been sitting here, speechless, trying to piece my thoughts back together with some semblance of cohesion... Because this fully blew my mind. It was amazing! I had goosebumps from the very first moment, to the last. I absolutely love how every audio featuring Echo feels like falling down a terrifying rabbit hole, Alice-In-Wonderland-style. It's such a potent mixture of fear, anticipation, and excitement! I just can't get enough of that chilling, grittier side to this storytelling! I unabashedly revel in just how much Echo delights in tormenting the audience — In the unique, fourth-wall-breaking way that only he can. He's seen as the villain, the cause, in this situation... And he knows it. He likes it. He embraces that fact. Basks in it. He knows exactly how to poke and prod at subjects that we as an audience, care deeply about. (The "audience thoughts" portion, Milo's experiences, Vindemiator's past Imperium installment...) All while still expertly stoking this sense of uneasy, unavoidable, undeniable curiosity about what's to come. And I can't help but wholeheartedly enjoy that, honestly. I love Echo's masterful taunting... I love the unforgiving push-and-pull of the angst, and dread. 😈 In short, I find it incredibly fun when Echo calls me out, leaves me all emotionally roughed up, and then sends me careening into The Imperium AU, with the sound of ominous chuckling as my only parting gift. Bring It on! Give me all of the emotional turmoil, lol! 🤣 Seriously though, I LOVE IT! The thrills, chills, fright, and angsty heartache of it all... IT IS PERFECTION!!! "But don’t worry, oh listener mine. The Imperium isn’t real. It can’t hurt you. Except… that logic doesn’t quite work, does it? Because… none of this is real. The Imperium. The Prime Universe. What’s ultimately the difference?" ... "it feels real. And that’s enough. The way that fiction affects you is reality. So in every way that matters, the Imperium, and the people in it, and the pain and the fear and the fleeting glimpses of relief they experience are real enough too." — 🤯😍This was such a stunning, gut-wrenchingly impactful section. It was marvelous. And so true! Again, I'm left speechless! 😍😍😍 Absolutely spectacular stuff! Everything about this audio was astounding and magnificent, in all aspects! Fantastic work, Erik! I applaud you endlessly!!! 👏👏👏👏💖💖💖 I can't wait to feel all the feelings that this month has in store! Oh, and one last thing... That brief flash of a tracklist in the YouTube video, and the potential storyline hint within it... Interesting 😳 And utterly terrifying. 😳 Anyway, back to The Imperium we go!
