Timeline Is Up! (Patreon)
Content
Okay so this took way more work than I expected and it's certainly not perfect, but overall, I'm really happy with it!
Keep in mind, this timeline has pretty much everything, so if you're not caught up, there's definitely potential spoilers in the mix.
Couple things:
It's pretty straightforward in format, but just to give the whole rundown, the timeline is read from top to bottom, starting in the "Distant Past" (delightfully precise, I know) and going to present day. Dates get more precise as they get more recent, starting with everything just broken into general year of occurrence, and then getting to a month level mid-2020. Where relevant, a specific date is listed in the event description itself. Events that aren't depicted in a video have a blank dot on the timeline. Events that are depicted in a video have a YouTube symbol on their dot on the timeline, and clicking that dot will take you to the video. There also is a byline on each of the depicted events that states the video's title in smaller, darker text.
At the top of the timeline are eight different filter buttons. Pressing these will filter the timeline down to only show events relevant to that theme. There are currently eight themes (All Events, House of Solaire, Shaw Pack, D.A.M.N. Crew, Unempowered Stories, Sadism's Hold, The Balance, and Carpe Deus), with more to come in the future.
Avior's plot (Sovereign State) and Project Meridian are currently intentionally missing, but they will be filled in when the time is right (hehehe). If any other videos are missing though, please do let me know! And while I'm fairly confident in this timeline as presented, I do of course maintain the right to adjust it at any time as the need arises. The biggest priority was to get all the videos themselves into a coherent timeline, but I plan to continue to fill in the gaps with important non-depicted dates that took place offscreen as time allows.
ALSO while I like to leave a lot of things up to viewer discretion, like character appearance (and as much across the board as I feasibly can about the listener characters in particular), some of these storylines are serialized enough that I felt it was important to finally give some hard dates/ages. Anyone whose birth year isn't stated is fully up to listener interpretation. But in some scenarios it just made sense to finally state one outright. It's similar to how I feel about last names. I don't want to give every character a last name, I like leaving that up to the listener to some extent as well, but there are times where the story really calls for a situation where a last name would be used.
I think that's pretty much it. Hope you guys enjoy!
