What? What did we just witness? To tired for much analysis tonight, but I think Pprter just saved Vincent by giving him an alibi. Really wanted Darlin' to wail on Alexis! A lot more Inversion lore than I was expecting at the Vampire Summit! Gonna take some time and get some rest so I can process WTF just happened. Brilliant audio, and we officially made it all the way through October with no visit by Echo. That's mildly to terrifyingly ominous (somewhere along that spectrum). Nighty night, y'all. Okay. So I get that Alexis is old as balls, and has the rotten, moulded personality to go with it. I also get that she has the strength to back that very same sadistic and insufferable personality up. But my gods, I’d want to fight, if just to draw blood. also Porter was definitely part of this, he’s been in everyone’s business and he was speaking as if he knew the King was going to die “i suggest you don’t waste this opportunity, i doubt it would present itself again” he mentioned he was on a time crunch and needed to be somewhere when talking to the pack and zipped off to Vincent and demanded to fight with him, which seemed a lot like a distraction so Alexander could be killed more discreetly whether Christopher did it or not idk, i sense another twist coming up i’m ngl😭 SH WAS THERE TOO But whether they’ll be believed or not is hard to say, the pack will believe them, but if word gets out then they’ll also be questioned about what the hell they were doing there when it all went down, which won’t end well🧍 Also feel like Alexis is involved but she might not be, she was awfully quick to know that he had been killed bouncing back and forth between that one Still don’t like that Will wasn’t there, this has been proper planned out my brain needs more time to process omg it’s all over the place, i’m very intrigued😭

Ok, Before I start my long ass comment: Thank you Erik so much for this and Halloweek! It has been a blast! Now on with the thoughts 1) love the call back to the socks, Milo not leaving without giving Asher a decent belt. Asher and Baaabe being that Overly PDA couple. And poor David and Angel just waiting... 2) Vincent and Lovely calming each other down, Vincent sounded so hurt by William... But the crown? That was a 10/10 moment. No notes 3) Sam and Darlin promising each other ice cream...and Sam insulting their choice ( I will hear NOTHING against choc-mint!) Was just the perfect calm before the storm. 4) whomever played Alexis was perfect. She had just the right level of venom towards Darlin, and I so wanted Darlin to punch her teeth out. Especially for insinuating that Sam will leave them when they get older. Like what the hell? 5) Porter is just an agent of chaos and I love him for it. 6) the vampire house having been involved with CloseKnit/Inversion is just...what the hell?! 7) Milo still hasn't told anybody else about what he did 2 years later? 8) I really didn't like Sam begging Alexis to leave Darlin alone. I suspect that it will come to bit him in the ass. But him and Darlin are a strong couple 9) I have many theories about the ending.

This may be my favorite video at the moment. The balancing between each group and how the stories became interwoven throughout. The hidden intricacies that meshed when we jumped from one point of view to another. The quiet temperament of the summit, placid on the outside, but threatening to boil over with tension. The lore wrapping back in and the connection between the house of Bennett and Close-knit. Finishing everything off with a whodunnit type of mystery. Several pieces at play moving outside the audience's purview. I can't describe how much I enjoyed this. And how much the storytelling is so mesmerizing. Drawing you in and painting a vivid picture of everything at the moment. Can't wait to see where the story goes from here!

I felt anxiety from start to finish, It's really sweet how the all the partners and mates are by their men 100%. Porter knows more than he's letting on, he's definitely pulling the strings, it was important that porter and vincent had a fight right then and there for a reason. Was it to distract Vincent and everyone else while the king was killed? I really hope sweetheart is okay, Milo will lose his mind if anything happened to them. God the entire audio was so tense! He really knows how to put us all on edge.

Uses the Treasure thing to wind Vincent up because a) it's well known they hate each other and that Porter would pull a stunt like that B) so it would make that fight more believable C) protecting Treasure themselves from the mess that will happen Steps in to stop Darlin from ripping Alexis a new one To interfere with Alexis 's plans To keep Sam busy to stop him from helping Vincent Deliberately waits until David and Angel are busy to approach the pack - specifically sweetheart to Hope's for a witness. SO MANY QUESTIONS!! i’m also so worried for what this will mean for house of solaire! because this was technically vincent’s time to host the summit, how will the news of one of the kings was killed under the watch of the solaire clan? it feels like a lot of new things are introduced at once so this could really leave a dark stain on the solaire name. ok last thing, we all knew close knit was behind the inversion, but what else are they planning??? they need another big event to recruit more people but what would that mean??? and what do they need to be recruiting even more people for? so much is happening and i need a continuation STAT! (ofc take your time erik i will always wait for your work)

I have a theory now I’ve sat and taken this all in. What if William asked Porter to come back because he wants Vincent to take over but knows he doesn’t have the right temperament (at least not yet) to rule OR he’s away on business (something sketchy no doubt) and can’t be there to keep an eye on vincent, so he asked Porter back to help keep an eye on him and make sure he stays out of trouble at the summit. Porter clearly knows how to play ‘the game’ and he definitely caused that argument at the end of the video to make sure everyone could see vincent (and likely himself) in view so they wouldn’t be blamed for the death. Maybe William wanted that king dead and knew it was going to happen so he asked Porter to watch over the whole thing (discreetly, so he has to continue being his asshole-like self), but knew vincent wouldn’t play ball with that as he’s not into the whole vampire politics thing. Plus he has his own progeny to look after now (lovely). Porter definitely knew something was going to happen and made sure someone from the department was there to witness it. He HAS to be working with William in some way! Goodness knows what William is scheming but I’m excited to find out!!

What if Treasure WAS at the Summit? This is out there with all my other insane Theories But... What if Porter didn't lie to Sam and Vincent. What if he denied Treasure was at the Summit only Infront of the other guests? Treasure and Porter were at Skyside before the Summit. Porter even mentions showing Treasure how much he Approves of them deciding to remember him all over the house... Now think about this. Porter and Vincent during their verbal battle at Sam's. Porter said "You've never been Invoked into doing something Horrific for your Makers amusement..." We know Porter has his enjoyment of Pain from more than likely abuse from his Maker. But what if that's not the only thing he picked up? Would Porter see it as "Wrong" to Trance Treasure into waiting for the opportunity to attack someone? Like I said.. It's highly unlikely. But it's sticking around because Porter didn't just choose to keep Treasure on a "Whim". There is something going on there... What if Treasure was waiting in the shadows for the opportunity to Attack/Kill the Bennett King on Porters order? Wouldn't Darlin have warned the Pack already about Porter bringing a Unempowered Human to the Summit? So if Sweetheart saw this happening... Wouldn't they be inclined to try and help said human? 👀 Hence why Porter wanted them there....

Ooh, interesting. Though I'd wonder how NO ONE noticed that they were there; vampires would be able to hear their heartbeat (and possibly pick up their scent as well?). If Treasure is really Darlin's old friend, I can imagine Porter deciding that bringing them to the Summit would be too risky - Darlin' and Alexis nearly started a fight, and the added stress of Darlin' finding out that their friend who almost died in a vampire attack is now lovers with ANOTHER asshole vampire probably would push them into swinging at Alexis before Porter could stop them.

Very true. Hiding them would be a problem. But we didn't see anything that would make us believe that the other Vamps would do anything to anyone at the party besides Snipe at them. Treasure is technically Marked by Porter so that would have given them some form of protection from other Vampires and Vincent and Lovely were too busy trying to be good hosts. Sam was running all over hells half acre and leaving Darlin by themselves half the time. It wouldn't be that hard for Treasure to be tucked away somewhere. They did mention Porter is the best tracker there and he could easily have kept tabs on everyone and kept Treasure hidden. 🤷‍♀️ Like I said. It's just another crackpot theory of mine. But it does have a little Merritt. 😅

same! i’ve always thought about whether sam and darlin talk about their future long-term. i feel like it could be somewhat of an insecurity to darlin, but alexis was just the first person to voice it out loud 😬 i really wanna see how they acknowledge this, if ever

omg i thought i was going insane for feeling a little iffy about the conversation sam had with alexis! he started off strong with the confrontation but i got more uncomfortable as it went on 😭 i think he could’ve set boundaries without bringing up their past, almost like a “do it for me 🥺” i’m also worried it could come back to bite him in the ass

Not only this, but we’ve had confirmation in the past that Sam avoids biting Darlin’ full stop, in Quinn’s capture audios. Darlin’ likes being bitten, but Sam hasn’t bitten them, ever. So Sam’a avoidance of biting, and now the confirmed insecurity of mortality? If they are avoiding big conversations like these, it’ll only end up bottled inside until the tension is too much to stomach anymore.

Okay well SHIT. I think (know) the prince killed the King of Bennet and might have kidnapped Sweetheart if he somehow found they were related to DUMP/found them in general. OR. By the King hearing, what I’m assuming was Sweetheart, was killed by his progeny whilst trying to find the source of the noise. I’m not sure why Porter suddenly wanted to ‘fight’ Vincent and purposefully cause a distraction. Maybe so someone or something could sneak into the party or elsewhere in the area? I think Elliot and Sunshine might come into this, or somehow Quinn. I have a feeling one of the listeners is gonna get severely hurt and I think it might be Angel, Sweetheart, or Darlin 😭 Also I love Alexis voice it fits so well but jfc I was yelling back insults 💀💀💀
