NeonStrip 0.37.01 Patreon Release (Patreon)

NeonStrip Version 0.37.1 is now available for Patreon supporters!

This month's release focuses heavily on improving NPC dialogue awareness, character variety, visual quality, Adult Mode, clothing support, and overall performance.

One of the biggest additions is the continued development of the NPC Dialogue Context System. NPCs are becoming much more aware of what's happening around them, including the current time, their location, and their occupation. Merchants are also better able to recognize that they're currently working and respond appropriately when discussing their store, merchandise, shopping, or checkout.

Character variety has received a major upgrade as well. Random NPCs can now spawn with different body shapes, giving the population much more visual variation. Clothing has been improved to properly refit to these different body types, and several issues involving saving and loading the player's selected body shape have been fixed.

The game's visuals have also received another pass with Dynamic Depth of Field, the return of SSGI and SSAO, and additional vegetation and rendering optimizations. I've continued balancing visual improvements against performance as the world becomes more detailed.

The Dialogue UI has been redesigned to be cleaner and much less obstructive, allowing more of the actual scene to remain visible during conversations.

Adult Mode also received several improvements, including UI changes, relationship progression fixes, transition improvements, a new Cowgirl Variation 4, and the return of the Free-Roam Camera.

The radio now has its own volume control, and I've added two new songs to the game:

There are also improvements to police and Gangsta combat, NPC LOD fixes, conversation fixes, performance optimizations, and numerous smaller stability and polish improvements throughout the game.
