Stallone told the interviewer that he was too afraid to meet Elvis, and he didn't go, but he did send a copy of the film. Apparently, Elvis did indeed watch the film with some freinds.

I've said before that I'm not big into sports movies either (or sports, full stop XD). Rocky is a different breed. It's not a boxing movie. It's a movie about a man who just happens to be a boxer. A very kind, humble, honest, down-to-earth, loveable man who deserves the world. It's been a while since I've seen the original. I forgot just how gritty it is compared to the rest of the series, and I mean that in the best way. There's a very indie feel to Rocky—very natural and stripped back. It's almost eerie how infrequently they utilize the musical score, but that was the common practice back in the day, and it really adds to the feeling of just following this guy on his day-to-day. I like that. Even the little moments add so much, like the spontaneity of someone throwing Sly an orange during the training montage, or the set design oversight where they got the colors of Rocky's shorts mixed up. Moments that feel like a real underdog story and not just a product of its low budget. But man... the character of Rocky Balboa is so sweet and genuine. The kind of guy who sees the best in everyone, and you just want him to see the best in himself. He doesn't need the title to prove his worth. He just needs the love of his life and the strength to keep going. The rest will follow. So glad you liked it. I would absolutely love to go the distance with this series.

"Southpaw" refers to a left-handed person, particularly in sports, likely originating from 19th-century baseball, where fields were often oriented with batters facing east to avoid the afternoon sun. Consequently, a left-handed pitcher's arm would face south. Well There was never a Second movie planed Thats Why the Said no Rematch. And Rocky's dog Butkus is Sylvester's real dog Butkus, and when Sylvester was Broke, he had to sell Butkus for $70. and when he sold his screenplay for Rocky 1, He bought Butkus back for $15,000.
