Honestly scenes like the first thanksgiving episode was why I couldn't watch this show as it aired, even though I feel like I did miss out. I lost my mom, and I had uncles-but they had other responsibilities, so it was kind of hitting too close to home when I was younger.

The second episode really got to me. Joey is my favorite of the three, Jesse a close second and when they made him a room it’s like they accepted him as a true relative. It is definitely one of my favorites of season one so far at least :)

The thanksgiving episode, specifically that scene between Danny and Jesse really got to me. It's been a very long time since I watched this show. My grandfather passed away 12 years ago (13 in September) and it still hurts. He was my family's glue, and we stopped gathering for holidays after he passed. This show really knows how to hit emotional moments

The original unaired pilot with John Posey is available on the season 1 dvd. If you watch both title sequences, you'll see that, along with the fishing scene, some of the shots are of Posey and not Bob Saget. The show wanted Bob Saget in the role, but due to schedule conflicts, he wasn't available, so they hired John Posey; once it was filmed, Bob's schedule opened up and the creators of the show chose to fire Posey and bring Bob Saget in. If you watch the original pilot, it's so weird seeing another guy in the Danny role. It's kinda cringe too. Nobody could do this character besides Bob Saget.
