Hey everyone! So unfortunately after I just got done recording Doctor Strange, the video did not save properly and I am unable to find it. I feel bad about it because this ruined a part of our MCU rewatch journey so I will have to move onto the next movie now instead. Hope you all understand and will see you soon!

It sucks that this shit happens, but like I said on Discord, I'd rather a video not go up at all than see anything less than your authentic reaction. One missed movie is not gonna ruin the ride.

That’s okay!

So I don't know what you record with, but if it's OBS, there are a few things you could try: Part 1: Locating Missing OBS Recordings Check Default Windows Folders & Date Search If OBS was recently installed or reset, it may have saved to standard Windows locations: • Open File Explorer (press Windows Key + E). • Check the default Videos folder under This PC. • Use the top-right search bar in File Explorer and type datemodified:today (or the specific date) to scan across drives. Part 2: Repairing Corrupted or Incomplete OBS Files If the recording crashed mid-stream, stopped unexpectedly, or won't play in standard media players, follow these repair procedures: Method A: Use OBS Built-In Remux Tool Recommended if you recorded in .mkv or .flv and the file seems unfinished or corrupted: 1. Open OBS Studio → Click File → Select Remux Recordings. 2. Click the ... button under OBS Recording and select your unfinished or corrupted file. 3. Click Remux. OBS will re-wrap the video stream into a fresh .mp4 container, fixing missing index headers. Method B: Convert Unfinished / Temp Files (.tmp) If OBS or your system crashed before closing the container properly: 1. Create a copy of the file first to preserve the original raw data. 2. Manually rename the file extension from .tmp (or missing extension) to .mkv or .mp4. 3. Attempt playback using VLC Media Player, which can read incomplete streams better than standard players. Method C: Repair Broken MP4 Headers with Untrunc If the video was recorded directly as standard .mp4 and OBS crashed, the file header (moov atom) is missing: 1. Download an open-source repair utility such as Untrunc or Untrunc-GUI. 2. Provide the utility with a healthy reference file recorded with the exact same OBS resolution, codec, and bitrate settings. 3. Select the corrupted file. The software will transplant the working header architecture onto the damaged file.
