Legt got misty eyed at this being the last season. LOVE the blooper idea, though!

Oh, my god. The kids conversation is so relatable though. My mom had my sister at 19. She had to give up school to raise her. Became a nanny because it was the only job that had decent pay which allowed her to work and stay home with us at the same time. My older sister had a surprised baby at 25 and she struggled a lot (he's 10 now and everything is fine). My sisters, brother and myself grew up in a appartement where my mom took care of three others chidlren to 8 am until 7 pm Monday through Friday. So when my brother and I told her we never wanted children she was so understanding about it. But the rest of the family always tell me "oh, you'll change your mind", "You're young, wait until you meet someone." It's frustrating really. I always said, if the kids come with my eventual future partener, fine. I'll accept them and help take care of them. But I don't want to have any of my own.

Still watching through old videos... You keep mentioning you used to do stand-up... did you ever consider doing some material for the channel? I'd love to see it. :)

NGL was a bit annoyed at Bernie, but it's a very real conversation. I mean I DO want to adopt ,at least one. But it might not work out. So I've realized if I have a job as a writer-which working on it-and pets, than I could be okay. Not everyone is meant to be parents, either. I also think Penny is doing just fine at where she's at. In a job that pays well, and more important-married. Edit : Laurie I am glad your mom understands! My dad is super understanding about that, too. He has grandkids already, and never believe in laying all that pressure on people

my thing about the whole kid thing is I believe that a couple should be on the same page about if they want them before they get married. And in past episodes, Penny always said she wanted to have kids some day. I understand that she changed her mind, which is perfectly okay to do, but idk i feel like it's unfair to Leonard because he always thought he would have kids some day. It can ruin a lot of marriages. Leonard has a right to be upset.

I do agree. I remember thinking I wasn't sure if they talked about it earlier, and if they hadn't they really should have . Penny should have been more vocal about her unsureness of it all, too

There’s always an expectation or pressure from families especially for women to have kids. I’m in my 30s..late 30s. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 15 years already. I do eventually want to have kids , but I’ve been struggling financially/career wise. For me and my boyfriend, we just want to make sure we’re secure financially and do the things we want to do before settling down. He has a trauma of marriage and having kids because of how he grew up. I also kind of have trauma too about marriage.. we both came from broken families/divorced parents. So we both saw a lot of hurt /heartache from our families. In our opinion, we’re basically married already and there’s no pressure to really make it official. As for kids, we had a surprised pregnancy in 2021. It was scary and my boyfriend was the most afraid, but eventually became more excited to become a father. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage and it was the most emotionally and physically draining day of my life. What’s worse is that my boyfriend could not be by my side due to COVID restrictions and overcrowding in the ER. It was tough and my boyfriend couldn’t stop crying and apologizing to me even when I got discharged. He said, he did realize he wants to have kids in the future. But again..he has goals that he wants to accomplish. He also wants to make sure that we can provide a good life for our kids. He wants to do it the right way and not have it be a surprised pregnancy. LOL! For me, there’s really no pressure to tbh..even though I’m getting up there in age. I know women who got pregnant in their 40s. But yeah I honestly feel I still have so much to do for myself..career wise. So the boyfriend and I will be taking our sweet time. If it happens.. it happens.

I think I am in the minority, but Season 12 is one of my favourites.

The blooper idea is amazing and just a recommendation if you do go that route make sure you also watch the tale read of the last episode too. It will rip your heart out. 😭

Takato

You're awesome, just saying. :)

And so it begins. I love that pretty much all the moms like hanging with Penny. She didn’t even try to befriend Amy’s mom but Amy’s mom likes her. So, the no kids thing is something that one too many fans get angry with Penny about. Yes, in early seasons she’d mentioned the idea of kids being nice, but that was before any of her friends was pregnant. She has seen and heard Bernadette and Howard go through their two pregnancies, heard them complain and seen the changes that happened. It is possible earlier she thought of the good side of kids but now seeing the good and bad she got turned off the idea of having kids. Which is possible for anyone to do. Granted she may have had the conversation earlier with Leonard, she just wasn’t focused on it as much. Oh and yes YES to reacting to Mamma Mia 2!!! It’s so good and so happy seeing the old and new cast! And bring tissues the ending is beautiful but bittersweet!

The first episode stands out to me and shows Sheldon's maturity and growth. His not being comfortable with being physical but putting that aside for Amy is huge. He wants to be a good husband to her...he's just come such a long way, and I'm proud of him. Although it fits Penny not to want to have kids, they already did that storyline with Bernadette, so it felt like they were repeating themselves. That being said, if you don't want kids, you shouldn't be pressured into it...but if you are with a spouse who wants them, you need to find a compromise and discuss it as a team; you can't make a decision that will impact both lives.
