The movies itself half of it is based on the life the Wisconsin killer ed geins aka the butcher of Plainfield.

A question: what did you mean by "personal reactions,"as opposed to just new video rections in general? Are they different due to lack of request is there a more sentimental reason you picked movies like Tiger Cruise?

So, to answer the question on whether the massacre was actually real, it was not. Most of the film is fictional, the killer is based on a real killer named Ed Geins, but the story is fictional, the only reason why it looks like it was based from something real is because the director believed that if that was told at the beginning, a bigger audience would be attracted to the movie.

Oh talk about a classic.

To answer the other question jerry actually did die from that hit to the head, leatherface was checking house to see if there was anyone else.

Well, that was certainly an experience. It certainly kept me on my toes. Since watching the original Friday the 13th movie (which I recommend), I've been interested in seeing these old horror films.
