Hey everyone! So I wanna say something that some of you may or may not be happy with. I understand that people are upset if I do not do a show that they like. Completely valid and I hold no judgement for that. However, if you join my patreon with the expectation that that is the only thing that I do, unfortunately you will be disappointed. I posted a total of 8 videos in the last 3 days... 8.. I get it if some of you are not happy about the show that I did, however, if you would at the very least watch the intros of the videos, as I have asked many many times before to do so, I give serious updates on things like mental health, why I am focusing on one show or movie series, and important channel stuff. So if you signed up just to watch one specific thing on my channel, then to be fair you joined my patreon with the wrong perception in mind. You should always think of patreon like Netflix. You may not always get what you are looking for, but you do get content nonetheless. So one thing I do want to ask. Just as I constantly am trying out new content, maybe you all could as well? If you do not like Young Sheldon, but haven't even watched a single video of it, then you don't truly know that you don't like it because you haven't even given it a shot. That goes for every movie and TV Show that I do on my channel. Sorry for the rant and no I am not mad at anyone for leaving or voicing opinion so I apologize if it is taken that way as that is not how it is meant. I just wanted to clear the air with this because it seems to be a trend lately that people aren't happy with the things I choose to focus on, and then write passive aggressive exit surveys. You know who you are and I won't name names, but it is not my fault that I focus on what is best for the channel. With that being said, see you all soon for more content. Thank you!

I love your patron I watched your finding dory reaction twice people need to get a grip or they can leave you putting your time in doing these and for people to judge is not okay

Weezythecowboysfan88

Well said. I feel like as this is your patreon and your channel you can do whatever you want. All people can do is give recommendations, they can’t control you. They can’t control what you watch or don’t watch (excluding personal reactions). If people don’t like that then they can leave or get the personal reactor tier. It’s as easy as that.

f.em.o

I think people forget there's also a huge backlog of content that you have on here to watch if they're not that into your current shows at the very least lmao, love your patreon though!

Allie Dickens

I didn't realize some people do this. It's your patreon and you can react to whatever you want. I personally don't like everything you react to, but in those cases, I'll watch the intros, and wait to see what you choose next.

Raul Valencia

i wont lie to you Cody, compared to other patreons, yours is by far the most inconsistent, not being your fault of course. Self care comes first. I always prefer quality over quantity, and youve got the quality👌🏻

Jonathan

You can’t please everyone. I’m sure some people are irritated you don’t do single episode videos of multiple shows instead of multiple episode videos but each reactor does what works for them. I’m sticking around for the long term but I’m sure others will come and go based on the shows you are currently doing just like some people change their streaming subscriptions monthly if they need to. Don’t let it stress you. No matter what there are people still here who appreciate what you do

Athena

I was thinking of this idea, but perhaps you could do something like weekly updates? In the pinned message of your patreon where you'll list what movies you're doing for the month, maybe you can go back and edit a weekly section every Monday or Sunday, to let people know your schedule for the week, any important notices, potential show cancellations etc! I know you have updates at the start of your videos, but while I do watch those intros, there's a lot of people who don't, or don't know to do so for whatever reason. (Which is a them problem, but It's still better to have a second option I think) This is just a suggestion ofc, Ik you're already busy with everything else going on and especially rn, I just thought it could help with organization. Plus, I've been a patron of yours' for a while, but I'm ngl, I'm still confused about the days you post 😂so a schedule would also help ppl like me to keep track of what days they can expect content from you. And if you need to make changes to the schedule last minute because something doesn't work out, it's no biggie! You've been really great recently about updating us when something changes :)

Emma Gustafson

Sorry people are being crappy, I love your content You work really hard and we appreciate you!

Cody Hoppes

inconsistent? I always make up for the videos I missed so idk what you are talking about

Cody Hoppes

I don't do weekly updates anymore because at the moment I don't have a set idea of what I want to do every day. but thank you for the suggestion

roxannesimp

I like what you react to my only problem is that some older reactions like ted 2 and godzilla aren't available to watch on patreon

Athena

Ahh gotcha! I totally get that

Daniel Fuchs

Hey Cody. I'm sorry to hear that. People simply don't know what they want. You can't please them. Plus, they don't know how much work goes into it. There are also times when you don't have the time or feel like it. Even though it's always depressing to read stuff like that, they also forget that it's your channel and not theirs. If they don't like it, they should just do it themselves. Unfortunately, it's just the case these days that you can never please everyone. You do really great work and that's why I subscribed to your channel and will continue to do so. Don't let anyone in the world ruin it for you.

Anatol

If I had signed up only for HIMYM I'd be pissed. But I signed up for whatever I can get here and I definitely get a lot of great reactions. I'm not even into animated stuff but I still get so many live action reactions, I have no idea why people would complain (and usually I'm the one who complains! - yet, I'm still here, not complaining, just enjoying all the great reactions). ;)

Fae 22

I HAVE defended you many times. I tried to be as courteous and civil as possible. I have not made demands or done anything to create this type of reaction. When you finished The Big Bang Theory there were people leaving and you asked why, you asked people to comment why or tell you why I have defended you and your videos many times. I have written support for your mental health and tried to be a cheerleader. I was voicing an honest opinion to be respectful to you. I just find this very disrespectful and hurtful. I have been as gentle as possible but launching hate against me is uncalled for especially since I've been paying you $10/month (or $7/month) since you reacted to Encanto

Fae 22

If he's referring to how I answered the exit survey several hours ago: I said that I needed to not be a Patreon for a few months as it was a commitment that I was not able to afford if he stopped on Brooklyn 99. I have not seen his reactions to Young Sheldon but I HAVE seen clips and even a couple of episodes of Young Sheldon. I tried to be very honest that I wanted to sign up for Brooklyn but he said he had (possible) stopped the reactions. I was not at all malicious about it and I have ALWAYS done my best to be respectful. So if he is talking about me then that is very unfair to someone who has supported him since he reacted to Encanto and that was a couple of years back, So, maybe he's reacting to someone else and I am just feeling targeted because of coincidence, but go ahead and look at my recent responses to his update posts, none of them are disrespectful or attacks.

Fae 22

(it could be that he's talking about someone else and this is a coincidence) If he is referring to me, I will let you know that I have been a Patreon of his for a number of months or even years. I joined shortly after I saw his reaction to Encanto on YouTube. I did not insult him. I did not bully him. I did not attack him. I saw what he was going to update: The Owl House, Young Sheldon, etc. and I said that I had to stop for a few months because these shows are not ones that I am interested in. When he was doing ICarly, I watched some of those shows but I wasn't a fan of them. I was a Patreon throughout the entire span of The Big Bang Theory. I stood up for him numerous times and acted as a cheerleader Unfortunately, I don't have exactly how I answered the exit survey in front of me, but I wanted to avoid it going into a public situation so just said that I was hopeful for Brooklyn 99 but the shows that were being reacted to weren't things that I felt comfortable spending my money (which I need for medical cost as I am an amputee, diabetic, and autistic) and I think I even wished him good luck on the channel After supporting for years, it's hard to read things like this especially since I reacted through a PRIVATE channel

Anatol

Definitely weren't referring to you or anyone specific but only wanted to point out that even if you are as weird as me and don't like animated stuff, you still get at lot of content on this channel.

Fae 22

(this might be a coincidence nad he is talking about somebody else) I was not being crappy. I was being as respectful as possible. I have stood up for Cody and his videos SEVERAL times nad been a Patreon of his since I saw his Encanto video on YouTube and the Patreon monthly membership was $7/month, this was before he started reacting to The Big Bang Theory I tried to be as supportive as possible. I even think I wished him luck ON the exit survey itself, but didn't think it would have this kind of reaction so I didn't save it or commit it to memory. I said that I wasn't ready to give $10/month which I needed to cover medical issues (I'm an amputee, diabetic, and autistic) when the show that I really liked Brooklyn 99 (has a possibility of being stopped) I will remind people that when Cody finished his reactions to The Big Bang Theory, a lot of people left. He was concerned about people leaving and stated so in a post right after, saying that he wished that these people would explain why they left his channel. I thought after watching his content for years, he deserved an explanation and I gave him one, not being rude, but saying that what he had chosen to react to weren't things I was interested in I just don't understand how I deserve this treatment (again sorry if this is just coincidence) when last year Cody put up a post asking people to explain why they had suddenly stopped being Patreons of his.

Fae 22

(sorry if this is just a coincidence and he is not referring to me) I was very respectful on my exit survey, stating that I just didn't think it was worth it to spend my money (which being a diabetic, autistic, and an amputee I needed to spend on my health situations) if he wasn't going to react to Brooklyn 99 anymore. You can look back at MULTIPLE of his Update Posts and I have always given very kind and supportive feedback and advice, I have always tried to word myself in a kind and nonjudgmental manner. I just don't know why Cody would do this to me (apologies if it is not ME but coincidence in timing) when I have been with him since a couple of months after he reacted to Encanto. So, maybe you'll call me 'unappreciative' but I even signed up for Nick's channel because I liked Cody's reactions so much and there IS evidence of that because I asked him about Friends and that show. Why would I sign up to Nick's channel if I did not appreciate them? I was also someone who gave my advice when he wanted to know how to improve his channel to pause when reacting to something longer because people might enjoy both hearing his thoughts and seeing the show. I have supported and shown appreciation MULTIPLE times and been vocal. To attack me like this is just cruel and uncalled for

Fae 22

(sorry if this is just coincidental timing) But if he is talking about me. I did not insult him and have always wished him luck. I just can't believe he publicly attacked me like this when all I said was that during a time I had to pay medical bills (I'm an amputee, diabetic, and autistic) I didn't want to be a Patreon FOR A FEW MONTHS when the shows I liked weren't being reacted to. I didn't create a cancel campaign. I didn't insult him. I was honest. And right after Cody finished reacting to The Big Bang Theory, he put up a post asking why people were leaving his Patreon channel and he wished that he knew what their thought process was. I thought that telling him that I was respectfully leaving due to him 'perhaps stopping' the Brooklyn 99 reactions was what he wanted. If I knew that he was going to publicly attack someone who is both physically and mentally disabled I would not have said anything

Cody Hoppes

I didn't name any names so not sure why you are feeling attacked when no one targeted you. I simply was calling out those that made passive aggressive comments in the exit survey.

Fae 22

(taking photographic proof of my comments)

Fae 22

those meaning me or were there others?

Fae 22

Several hours ago I put on the exit survey that I was leaving because he had stopped responding to Brooklyn 99. I go out with my mother to see Madame Web (since I have high-functioning autism my mother likes finding an activity to do together since I have problems socializing). I come back after enjoying the movie to find this only a few hours after I put on the exit survey that I was leaving because of Brooklyn 99

Emma Gustafson

Dude, you don’t even know if he’s talking about you Calm down please, you’re putting unnecessary stress on not only him but yourself Don’t assume what you don’t know for certain

Matthew Richson

You are being extremely excessive here…

f.em.o

Bro calm down, as long as you didn't make a passive aggressive comment then you're fine, and if you did make a passive aggressive comment idk why you would. If you can't pay the money monthly to be a patreon he will understand, it's clearly aimed at people who only subscribe for one show and get upset when he doesn't continue with it if it doesn't do well on YouTube which is 100% valid of him to do and no one else's business

Fae 22

All I know is several hours ago I left his channel leaving a comment that was meant to be neutral that I was leaving the Patreon because I had hoped to see more Brooklyn 99 reactions but I just didn't like what was on his channel since he said he was possibly stopping I go out to see Madame Web with my mum When I come back I see this post only a few hours after I had written in an exit survey that I was leaving since he said he was possibly stopping the reactions to Brooklyn 99. So, it may be coincidence, but it seems to be a timeline of events to me seeing as it happened in that order on the same day

Fae 22

and if he had put in an update video (not on another show because he could easily just make one video for everyone discussing his life and mental health and putting it up rather than doing it on a show because not everyone likes the same shows) that he was stopping Brooklyn 99 then I wouldn't have felt misled I even asked on a recent update post, as kindly as I could, whether he was still going to do B99 videos as he had said that he wanted to focus on things for YouTube since YouTube was harder to get money from in February. He didn't respond one way or the other but just said that he said that because of Hazbin Hotel. If he had said, no, I don't think that I'll do that anymore when I asked and given me that clear information I wouldn't have felt 'strung along'. I have always tried to be respectful. He can respond to whatever he wants but I am also allowed to leave because I don't like the content

Fae 22

I go out having written on an exit survey that I am leaving because he said he is possibly stopping with the B99 reactions I go out to see Madame Web with my mother I come back to see this post about people sending 'passive aggressive' comments on exit surveys. A police investigation would consider this causation of events

Matthew Richson

The fact that you’re taking it this personal and responding to EVERY SINGLE comment with similar responses is quite frankly ridiculous…

chi

Pointing out correlation and calling it causation? If your exit survey wasn't passive aggressive then why did you immediately think it must be you he's referring to?

Natasha G

You work really hard. I really appreciate that. I hope you don't stop doing this. You are trying, too. While people do use patreon to pay, I don't think it's worth being that passive aggressive about it-from those that don't like it. They could have just let it be. Things happen in life. Brooklyn 99 was a great idea. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, simple as that. I'm still going to subscribe.

Natasha G

I'm also really liking spongebob! I never watched all of it together, so it's been a really nice treat, for me.

Cody Hoppes

tbh sounds like you are mad that you spent money on madame web idk but I didn't name names so idk why you are taking it so personally

Cody Hoppes

well names is plural so I think I mean there were others

Cody Hoppes

no one singled you out Fay. This is all you building yourself up so chill

Cody Hoppes

no one attacked you. you are playing victim right now where is there is no reason to

Cody Hoppes

again... NO ONE ATTACKED YOU FAY. you are fighting a battle that no one else is fighting right now this is ridiculous

Cody Hoppes

and you being disabled has literally nothing to do with any of thi

Cody Hoppes

are you a cop?? why do you need evidence like...

Rogueseanr16

We don't want to cause any more stress and pain especially all the things you been going through, you're health comes first we can wait even year before you're next reaction.

Athena

Girliepop, this is NOT how you handle this. If you suspect Cody was calling you out in particular, you should go to his dm's to talk things through instead of bringing it to a public comment section. Because It feels like you're trying to call HIM out now, even though you have no actual evidence that Cody was even talking about you to begin with. If I were you, I'd not leave things on a bad note like this, and just try to move on. Whether or not you left a passive aggressive remark in your exit survey is irrelevant at this point, because if you know you did, this whole thing is moot, and if you didn't, Cody isn't talking about you. Don't turn this into smth bigger than it is. I would just say 'I felt targeted and uncomfortable, considering my support of you and the timing of events, but I should have come to you with my concerns first.' and if Cody IS talking about you, a simple 'You may have misread my tone/verbiage/I worded it wrong' would have sufficed. Cody wants good vibes in the community and it's probably shitty to (even unintentionally) get passive aggressive exit tickets that feel unnecessary or unhelpful. I read from your other comments that you have a lot of stuff to pay for right now, and I truly hope you're able to get the accommodations you need, but spending money on a patreon account right now simply doesn't sound like the right move. Maybe after a break Cody will start making something you like more, but I suggest try not to let this experience ruin his channel/petreon for you. I doubt there was any real malice on any side.

Daniel Fuchs

If it came out wrong, I'm sorry. I actually just wanted to express that I wanted to support you for all the work you do for us every day.

Jonathan Giles

Surely people can't complain about Cody's uploads LOL. Most patreon pages react to a singular episode every few weeks. Cody reacts to multiple episodes in one recording. Multiple times a month. For multiple shows.

Jonathan Giles

Example. In December cody missed a few HIMYM reactions. So in Jan he released a ton of episodes! Don't see any other content creators doing this. (Plus it's his channel he can react to what he wants lol). Anyway end of posts. Can't wait to see what's next. Exciting times ahead

Kaylee Smeaton

I have autism too Fay and also diabetes. I am not a regular patron due to financial issues, so I get it.

Kaylee Smeaton

I am sure you weren't singling Fay out Cody. Sometimes us autistics misinterpret or misunderstand, and sometimes can take it personal. No worries.

Kaylee Smeaton

I get it Fay. I have high functioning autism too, so sometimes I can blow things out of proportion. I am sure Cody wasn't trying to single you out.

Kaylee Smeaton

I believe Fay K's Autism has played a big part in her many comments regarding the misunderstanding. I have Autism also, so I can see where she is coming from. But a bit of advice for Fay, its best not to make multiple public comments like this and get a whole community involved, ESPECIALLY if it is likely a misinterpretation or misunderstanding on your part. These sorts of issues, imagined or otherwise need to be spoken about privately. I suggest you take time to detach yourself from the situation and calm down. I am positive that Cody wasn't trying to single you out. For those not aware, Autism involves many factors on how our brain works. Mainly in the areas of communication, socialising, routine, body language etc. We also tend to be quite literal. Fay likely misinterpreted Cody's intention, which is a usual thing with Autism. Autism can also entail a inability to deal with emotions appropriately, hence the whole blow up. Please try to be a little understanding of this. I hope all is well with you Cody, and I wish you all the best.
