Fabio - Scarponata

The 1/18th drawing for me is one of your best ever. The tea between the two friends (or between the businesswoman and her secretary) is memorable. The lady on the left, very elegant with her wide-brimmed hat, her long gloves and her stunning red dress, shows off her pair of white big feet in rubber heels with incredible ease. The blonde girl seems stunned after learning about her friend's new white 'footwear'. Perhaps she’s wondering what the reaction of other colleagues will be after she finally returns to the office once her sick leave is over. Spectacular how the injured woman, despite the fact that her big white feet are giving her a hard time because of the constant twinges, goes out of her way to show herself as if nothing is wrong. Pure delight!

The sketches of the business lawyer with crutches and a leg in plaster or sitting on the sofa with the other foot bare and wearing tights are also very beautiful. A special mention for the leggy telephonist in sketch 16/18 behind whom lies a colleague who ruinously (fortuitously?) slipped on the floor... She will certainly have to forget about heels for many weeks (except for the rubber ones that will be applied under the soles of her big feet...).

I love 1,2,3 & 14 for obvious reasons - 6 her poor toes look so sore from those heels and I love how wiggly the toes are on 7. Amazing!
