Thanks for another oh-so-enjoyable and enlightening Dave & Joy conversation! Your mention of feeling the loss of Twitter (as it used to be) as it relates to TV and movies resonated with me…I left that place around the same time Dave did, after enjoying it back in the day since 2009. It’s only lately that I’ve realized the void of communal viewing that I’m still trying to fill, in piecemeal fashion. The desire to share near-immediate reactions to the third season of HACKS, for example, with other fans is not entirely satisfied by Insta, or Reddit, or just de-briefing with a couple of like-minded friends. (Putting in a plug here for that lovely, funny show…add it to your list of good shows on MAX/TOTWFHBO.) Dave’s work on various platforms, including here on Patreon, helps to a significant degree! Hahmstrung

For what it's worth, I deeply appreciated yours and Joy's COVID and political discussions. It felt like the world was going mad and your discussions were one of the few places I could find solace in rational, sane conversations (one other being The Filmcast during that period). I feel like you both really take the time and effort to look at topics in a level-headed, multifaceted way, and I would genuinely love a regular politics-based show featuring both of you.

I am so glad y'all are talking about COVID today. I'm currently on day 4 of isolating. This is my first time having it and it sucks. It's very depressing losing so much money having to stay home from work even tho I know I need the rest. I know I got it from a concert last week as there were several people openly coughing and it just sucks that so many people don't mask when sick and go around so many people 😩 I love y'all's conversations so much.

+1 on HACKS. For some reason in between seasons my brain forgets that the show exists, but the moment I’m watching it again I remember that it rules! Season 3 was great.
