So, @joyofnapping was really excited to watch the new Dune trailer with me. The above video features our quick reaction to the trailer. The audio in this video is kind of rough (I'm still learning how to use this new mixer i recently got) but hopefully the excitement is still infectious!

It's also worth mentioning that it's a miracle that they gave Villeneuve Dune, after Blade Runner 2049 disappointed monetarily. I'm so glad they did though, because he's equipped to handle the material

Loved this, you both are fantastic. Dave's complete lack of knowledge about Dune vs joyofnapping enthusiasm for this movie, had me laughing throughout this.

Very excited about this and very much in the joyofnapping camp having read the book. Quite like the Lynch film but I think only in the absence of something better. Villeneuve is probably the director most equipped that I can think of to have a stab at this. I just hope he doesn’t attempt to recreate the book - impossible - and just makes a great film based on the book’s ideas. Excited!

Thank God for @joyofnapping :-) I also haven't read the book and thought the trailer was jibberish. But her enthusiasm has me pumped and makes me want to read the series

Haha, I love the commentary for this trailer...from the both of you! It’s like Cast of Kings because Joy has read the book and is super excited about the film, but Dave hasn’t. The disparity in excitement level is probably why I thought it was so entertaining. Two great trailers and two great trailer commentaries in the course of about a month!

Really looking forward to this.. my initial concern maybe has more to do with the visuals... though striking, I'd love to see some more color... sounds silly but I'm wanting something a bit more lush in the mix. But hey, this is a trailer I'm talking about, not the finished film. Visually loved the Foundation trailer.
