Dave on Dave is an ongoing(?) series in which David Cho and David Chen gather together to discuss life and work. Also, usually David Cho has some harsh words to say about David Chen's stuff!

In this episode we discuss how difficult it has been to get good sleep recently, and reflect on David Chen's criteria for life success.

Let us know what you think of the episode in the comments! (One of the Davids really wants to know, but I won't say which one)

I feel left out! Also, missed opportunity NOT calling this “These are the Daves I Know” (or is a Kids in the Hall reference too obvious?)

I hope you keep finding value in the Dave on Dave sessions. I enjoy listening to them. Dave Cho is right in that you’ve accomplished a lot, but I also understand how you feel. It’s frustrating to be told that you should be proud of yourself when you don’t feel like you’ve hit your own goals. Add to that now you feel ungrateful for what you have when other people would want your life. Personally this is something that I’ve had to work through with a therapist. I’m not saying that’s what you need to do or anything but rather I share that same feeling and I understand your disappointment. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I’m a huge fan of your work and I appreciate all the content you make.

Just pressed play! Pretty excited about this.

It is *impossible* to overstate how much I related to this conversation.

David Cho would be a great motivational speaker.

I think these conversations are great and the series should definitely continue. Only Dave can take on another Dave.

I have really enjoyed both episodes (series/feature?) of Dave on Dave. The reason? I like the reflectiveness that David Cho brings to your work and thoughts Dave. If I had to guess, you wouldn't have him on if you didn't consider him a friend or didn't value what he has to say. With that said, I like that he gives a somewhat critical perspective--but in a supportive way. Not that I don't like all the other guests you have on this channel or your other podcasts (Culturally Relevant, Slashfilmcast, etc.), but the voice David Cho gives is pretty different from everyone else, in my opinion (in a good way). So yeah, I'm digging these Dave on Dave self-reflective conversations, and I look forward to the next installment in the series (I'm actualizing it by calling it a series 😀)

I loved this for so many reasons. Thank you for continuing to be real and raw and introspective. I may not often like or comment, but I always find these conversations invaluable. Also, David Cho saying "ten out of ten" made me think that we need a new metric for success: Chen out of ten. (For example, taking time to appreciate the amazing things you've accomplished, even if they don't exactly line up with your previous hopes/plans/dreams, would definitely earn you a Chen out of ten.)

Fantastic conversation! Please do more of these
