In this episode, the Daves reconnect after awhile away, catch up on some big happenings in David Chen's life, and reflect further on what value David Chen can bring to the world with his endeavors.

I don't know if you're looking for listener feedback here, but I want to agree with Dave Cho that I think you guys should have more unstructured discussions on the Filmcast After Darks. I get that you guys like having something specific to review as a way to help promote the Patreon, but truly the best stuff you guys do there are the extraneous discussions (Tom Cruise's sex symbol status, Jeff's Halloween Spirit story, etc). I know you guys usually try to answer a listener question in case people haven't seen the thing you're reviewing, but it would be cool if you guys just instead brought up something that happened to you that week for everyone to discuss, or if you saw something that isn't entertainment-related (and hence wouldn't be "film news) to just riff on. You guys probably have time constraints, but I think it would be cool if you guys devoted like 30 minutes a week to that kind of stuff, just so the listeners can hear you guys talking like friends in an unstructured way. Just my two cents.

I can only agree with Dave Cho’s analysis about the after dark style podcasts being one of the most entertaining podcasts! But the one thing you certainly shouldn‘t change is being critical about movies!! There are plenty movie critics out there who constantly love everything and it‘s a drag listening to them..

Cho is absolutely right in that loose after dark shows are the best. You guys just talking out shit that happened in your life is super interesting and many times valuable. Also love your diary episodes where you just talk about things you have read.

Agree. I love to hear Jeff talk about LA and the process of trying to be an actor. I find other people's jobs interesting in general. Jeff's stories are particularly interesting to me.
