I am glad I’m not the only one who threw up my hands in excitement when the gamified Westworld massacre played out. Another great video game that “meta-games” is The Stanley Parable. It’s a mind fuck and very low commitment. Highly recommend!

Hey y'all! A couple of thoughts: 1. I was surprised you didn't mention that in the Sublime, the final structure that Bernard enters looks like the drawings of "the tower" that the homeless guy holds up in Christina's world. And the city he looks out over looks like New York. Are we to think that Christina is actually in one of the simulations that the hosts are running inside of the Sublime? Zahn McClarnon mentions that the hosts in robot heaven create worlds; are they populating them with simulations, and this season is actually about *those* simulations yearning to be free of their host overlords? 2. From the jump I assumed there were multiple William hosts; I assume there's the "face" that dresses in modern clothing, and one or more "assassins" that go around doing the dirty work. The notion of one William that quick-changes into a cowboy outfit whenever he needs to off someone feels too silly even for Westworld. :) 3. The real thing that bothered me this episode is that Maeve and Caleb know that this whole thing is a setup because the "real" Senator's wife in the last episode relayed them a message from "their old friend". But, it feels like as soon as they got down to the bar in the opera house, they forgot that Charlores/William likely expect them to come, and are acting as though they're sneaking in under the radar. It really felt like Maeve should have known something was up way earlier. It's a weird instance of the characters being a step behind the audience, even though they got the information at the same time as we did. Love the pod!

Quick question: what do you call fans of Westworld? I told my fiancée that real Westheads love Luke Hemsworth and she’s begging me to stop saying Westheads

She also said “Dave Chen” would not say Westhead
