A lot happened at Warner Bros. Discovery this week! In this Twitter Space, I try to break down the major events with Joe Aragon (AKA CinemaJoe on Tiktok). Major links to news items are below.

I'm making it available as a podcast to Patrons. Thanks, as always, for your support!

Sorry I haven't listened yet, so this may be redundant, but it sounds like Zaslov is returning to an old school format (and when I say old school I mean pre-covid). Theaters are roaring back to life, so everything will be theatrical, then a window on PPV, then finally to stream. Kilar made HBO Max what it is today, but Zaslov wants the return to old revenue models. We'll see how it goes. Also, glad to finally hear a shout out for X the movie. I friggin loved it.

Can't wait to listen to this tomorrow at the gym. Thanks! One of the main things that burnt me out on working in Hollywood is this exact thing -working on something for months at a time and then the project is getting killed for reasons outside of your control. Sure everyone gets paid but what do you have to show for it at the end? Really feel for the creatives involved!

This turn is like the third season of basically any drama, but especially DEADWOOD, when the SnyderVerse-stans and the anti-Snyderites have to confront an existential threat against them both. Will they unite???
