Dave on Dave is an ongoing series in which David Cho and David Chen gather together to discuss life and work. Also, usually David Cho has some harsh words to say about David Chen's stuff!

In this episode, David Chen reflects on the stresses and risks of launching his new venture, while David Cho insists we have an outline for this podcast next episode.

I'm not sure how relevant you'll find this, but I wanted to say that I joined your Patreon mainly because I really liked you on the Filmcast and wanted to throw some extra support your way, and when I signed up I was kinda shocked (pleasantly so) by how much extra content you provided over here. Maybe I'm just an idiot and didn't realize how much you were putting into your Patreon here, but I was used to most people I've supported not really doing a whole lot with their Patreon, content-wise. Anyway, your discussion here made me think that you shouldn't be afraid of more self promotion. I would have signed up here much earlier if I knew how much extra content you provided to your patrons. This is without question the most content I get from any of the people I support on Patreon, so thanks again for all your hard work.

Really enjoyed this peek behind the curtain on the challenges and successes of launching Decoding TV. Keep it up!

My only hope with your new venture is that you find space to have conversations like these, and the free flowing after darks, the Q and A Twitter spaces, and your dairy type episodes that you did during the peak of Covid. I dig your tv recaps, but my favorite pods are the less structured ones that can decode culture, and events in life that lead to interesting and relevant discussions. Decoding Life might be too grandiose, but something in that vein would be awesome and valuable.

My guess is that's what the personal Patreon will continue to be for.
