Thermoelectric Generators are fun things. I had to do quite a bit of research about them. They're so unhealthy for humans,  but very reliable for probes and satellites. Story-wise, it fitted the scale of time I needed for Seth's story, but it's a little odd for a human-crewed space station. No matter!

The very observant among you will notice that the stated half-life of 87.7 years is Plutonium, the most common radioactive source. There is a trade-off between power output and longevity, in these things. The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and all that. I won't reveal the timescale yet, you'll get more clues to that soon enough!
