(production-notes) Episode 7 (Patreon)
Content
Sorry this is a late one! We had a very busy weekend, only returning home late last night. I was able to get the early-access episode to you (first one! How do you like the idea?), but not create the video.
My 2-episode writing lead really saved me here, though I'll be working extra hard to repay the debt to Future Tris. 8 is in final draft, but I'd like to get 9 done, too, this week.
Anyway, the episode. My programming heritage is really showing through isn't it! You absolutely should read Hackers: Heroes Of The Computer Revolution, it's a riot of broken rules, hacked hardware and somewhat-illegal computer access - all in the name of the birthright of digitising thought itself (a phrase borrowed from John Perry Barlow's Declaration of The Independence Of Cyberspace, which I set to music). A fascinating and entertaining read, with many first-hand accounts from those days.
I like the maintenance triplets, I imagine them rushing around on rails like Wheatley from Portal 2 (did you know I wrote a cover of Want You Gone - it's true!). Perhaps there would be traffic jams at the intersections of modules.
See you next week! <3
