Morning gang! July's a busy one, isn't it! Back to normal schedule next week.

I wonder how much STUFF would get washed into the sea if sea-levels rose 5m? That's what I'm imagining here in this episode. All the rubbish from our coastal cities just floating around. Could be a gold mine for scavengers, of course...

The bridge between Russia and Alaska across the Bering Strait has been hypothesised many times, but never built due to various annoying political problems. 82km would be a very long bridge, but my writing philosophy with Lost Terminal is to give every country a chance to do everything they dreamed of, but also to give them each the apocalypse they dreaded. Giveth and taketh!

Also, here's a fun thing. In 50s there was a plan to dam up the Strait so as to melt the Arctic polar ice caps for environmental reasons (genius plan, that!), and then in the early 2000s, the was again plans to dam the Strait to STOP the ice cap melting! What a roller-coaster!

I'm pleased to finally reveal the global-scale mesh radio network that Seth has been using this whole time. Though he uniquely has access to satellites, I think that most people on Earth have to make do with the lower-power radio relay network. If you've read Diskworld (such as Going Postal) you'll recognise the store-and-forward style of network.

Sorry there's been radio silence on the promised second LT podcast - my writing partner changed jobs and moved house at the same time and that put a pin in our schedule. Maybe MAYBE I will have something for you this weekend. Talk to you then <3
