[production-notes] Episode 5.9 (Patreon)

Penultimate episode! I can't believe how fast the seasons fly by!

Thank you for you patience in my day-late posting, we've had a 3-day weekend here in the UK, and I've been away from my studio, only returning yesterday afternoon. Luckily, I had the presence of mind to record before my trip, because I was SO TIRED YESTERDAY OMG, and I have found that I can't record while tired, because I make too many mistakes. after the 4th of 5th re-take of a sentence, I usually realise that my brain is fried, and I need to sleep. A lesson for all of us there, I think.

HOWEVER, editing is a more mechanical process that I can take my time over, so that's all I did yesterday, as well as editing the SIGNAL.

LET'S TALK ABOUT EMMA!

My good friend and writing partner, Robert Bettelheim, is writing the second patreon-only spin-off podcast, to air after Heliophage has finished its 10-episdoe run next year. (A reminder, AMIGA patrons and up get these extra podcasts for FREE!).

Without spoiling LT:NZ (working title), EMMA is an AI who lives on the North Island, overlooking Wellington. Robert's developed a very interesting AI, one who has only just woken up, and so knows even less about the world than Seth, Antarctica, or even MINI.

We've edited most of the early episodes, and Robert is smashing through them, likely getting the scripts all done a full year before broadcast. 

Look at us, doing things ahead of time like professionals! Amazing.
