[production-notes] Episode 5.10 (and 5.11) (Patreon)

WE MADE IT!

What a season this has been, I've had to learn more about intercontinental ocean travel and hurricane climate than I ever thought I'd need!

Episode 5.10

McMurdo station is the most populous habitation on Antarctica, and the logical place for Antarctica (the AI) to travel to, after she was abandoned at the South Pole.

I wrote the last sentence of this episode before anything else this whole season - Antarctica is impatient to the last! Because I had this down, I was able to get Wolfie Thorns back very early to record just that line to double-up when Seth says it, as I've done a few other times. If the Patreon keeps on growing as it has, Maybe I'll be able to get everyone in the same room to record their lines and we can do a proper radio-play! A man can dream...

Episode 5.11: The Yeshi Special

Robin was AMAZING, this was the first time I've recorded with a professional voice actor, which meant that they didn't need to come to my house to record - so liberating! It's a good thing too, as we live on opposite sides of the UK to each other! I'd heard Robin in Moonbase Theta: Out (a podcast you will love I am sure) and we kept in touch partly because they kept writing lovely reviews of LT on  their podcast review website, skyfullofpods.wordpress.com!

If you're on the AMIGA tier or higher, go check out the full Yeshi Special to find out more secrets in the LT world...

Wrap-up and Season 6.0

The end of this season is perfectly timed, Lucy (the credits lady!) and I are getting married at the weekend, and then we're going to take a well-deserved week off.

That means you won't hear from us till the 20th of September. HOWEVER never fear: I have scheduled the second HELIOPHAGE episode to drop this Friday, the 10th! Karl and I hope you like this different perspective on the Terminalverse (is that a cool name?)

Thank you all so much for your support, I'm so excited about Season 6.0! Talk to you on the 4th of October! <3
