Hi folks! Bonus production update as It's been such a wild time recording Heliophage and The Alexander Special, you wouldn't even believe.

---

Karl, my good friend who writes and performs Heliophage, has been unwell this last week, which has made the poor chap SO TIRED. It's a nightmare to record and edit people who are tired - they constantly make little mistakes! None of them make it through the edit, of course, but it means that for 20 minutes of episode I had over an hour of raw audio to sift though.

---

The Alexander Special was a total embarrassment for me: I'd written Ana twice, where I should have written Arina. CURSE MY CLEVER TELEGRAPHING OF THE ALTERS WITH ALLITERATIVE NAMES! Anyway, this just required Dan, the voice of Alexander, to record two pick-up lines a few days later.

But, catastrophically, I had already published the 15s teaser at the end of 7.10, which contained one erroneous instance of Ana. I wrote "One day when Ana was playing outside", which is irreconcilably wrong: Ana is a teenager and would never be described as "playing outside". She's much too serious!

I re-edited the episode and replaced the audio on the podcast feed, Patreon upload, and Soundcloud. But I can't fix YouTube, I'd have to re-upload.

I hate YouTube. Isn't it awful? I could talk your ear off about the problems with YouTube, but TODAY the problem that impacted me was that you can't edit or replace a video once you've uploaded it. Because you'd game the system or something. Even top-tier youtubers don't get that privilege. It's not something that benefits the advertisers, and things that don't benefit advertisers aren't allowed on YouTube.

Advertisers corrupt every creative work they leech on to. I will never have them on Lost Terminal, or any podcast I have a say in.
