Hi folks! Thanks as ever for supporting me, here's the news:

I am confident in my removal of Descript from my production toolkit. For the reasons I gave last week, I don't think it makes me, personally, any faster in editing. You should try it, though, if you'd like to edit audio and aren't familiar with doing so!

---

Did you hear the big change in the format of this and last episode? I'll reveal it next week and ask you what you think of it. No-one has mentioned it so far, which I think is a good thing! Do comment if you find it, and let me know if you care about the change.

We are terrifyingly close to 2^5 (ie, 32) patrons!

I'm looking up how one links Discord with Patreon so we can have our own space. Seems a well-trod path, I'm excited!

Could I ask that you reach out to friends who you know love the show and remind them of the benefits of joining? Maybe they'd like to listen to the special episodes? I'm so proud of them, all recorded by lovely friends. We're so close to the mark!

Here is a photo of my desk right now:

CAN YOU TELL I'M GETTING MORE INTERESTED IN RADIO?!

The transceiver at the top with the bright display is my latest, this is a shortwave transmitter that stands a chance, given the right antenna, of letting me chat with people around the world! Of course, I don't have the right antenna yet... baby steps!

I hope you're digging the extra radio details in the episodes. I wonder what I'll learn for the show next...!

Thank you all so much again, I can't believe we're half way through the season! Lots of excitement coming up, I just know you're gonna love it.

Till next week <3

Also, I vaguely remember calculating some of that wavelength stuff during a course I took in high school. Could I do it again? Perhaps with some tutorials. But that bit regarding Meg and Madi toying with radio did give me a little burst of recognition, haha. My teacher was very into HAM radio. Adoring the fun and experimental-scientific side of LT, as always ⭐️

I bet you could! The numbers in the show are all correct!
