Morning gang! This was a fun episode to write and produce.

---

Did you like Maddie's cloud section? It was inspired by a really profound experience I had on a train earlier in the year. I was zoned out listening to podcasts when suddenly the sun disappeared. I woke from my reverie and saw this:

(please do not be intimidated by my god-tier photography skills)

The train had travelled under the only cloud in the sky, produced by the East Midlands power station. This will feature in Seth's story, I thought.

Folks, it's difficult to know when you've 'made it' in the entertainment industry. If an author sells a million books, have they made it? Possibly: What if they have to work a second job to supplement the tiny advance that the publisher gave them? Would they feel confidant they had?

And what of a musician who plays gigs every weekend to joyful crowds, but serves coffee during the week?

I'm not disparaging my fellow creative folks, for some people that is a perfectly fine life. But there's a lot of pressure to DO MORE.

Anyway,  all this is leading up to me declaring that I absolutely, 100%, know I've made it, thanks to patron and Rayne:

YES THAT IS THE ACTUAL LOST TERMINAL LOGO TATTOOED ON RAYNE'S ACTUAL BODY I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING.

I ran out of time (I know I am supposed to be doing better in this regard, and I will, I remind myself that recovery isn't a straight line) to write new music this week, so you're treated to some EXTREMELY VINTAGE NAMTAO music.

I remember writing this track, 9 (!) years ago, I set out to write some STIRRING classical music, all strings and timpani and SERIOUS GROWN-UP stuff. Well, my brain refused to do that and told me to write in the 11th Doctor's theme: I Am The Doctor, and then add some huge beats, and that was that.

Some people just aren't cut out for classical music. I remember my music teacher in school, upon listening to some music I'd written for an assignment, exclaiming "BUT TRIS WHERE ARE THE DRUMS" and then they cut in, and we all laughed. Ah, school.

I love you all! Talk atcha next week <3
