Should the discord server be public? (But with VIP Patreon areas, and other privileges) (Patreon)

My initial thought was that for discord to be a perk, it'd have to be exclusive for just paying patrons. However, patreon Rayne pointed out that we all want the podcast to expand, and providing a place for fans to talk to other fans is a great thing to do.

In their words "Fandom works when the fans have spaces to be fans, you know?".

I think I totally agree.
