[production-notes] Episode 8.9 (Patreon)

What a whirlwind week! But first: The episode.

The scale of Germany surprised me. When I first chose a location for Station 6's ground control, I thought that it was in some kind of suburb of Frankfurt. Doing the research for this season has shown me that Darmstadt is actually a HUGE city! I should visit one day.

The ending was fast wasn't it? I tweaked the formula to have only a few paragraphs between The SIGNAL and the end credits. This change in pattern allowed much more detail in the section where Maddie's scrabbling among the ESA buildings, and made the cliffhanger much more jarring. I'm very pleased with how that worked out, though it's of course very emotional!

The DISCORD is so delightful! If you've not joined you simply must (click here https://discord.com/invite/mCY2bBmDKZ) we're having such great conversations about the show, but also people's experience with mental health, technology, and music. Thanks to everyone for their advice on how to run a server, too, this is my first time!

There's been an influx of new listeners from some of my programming videos on youtube (hello new friends!) I don't know if that's your bag, but here's an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA4q0lzmyfM
I've been plugging Lost Terminal at the end of them, and it was a good move!

Thank you as ever so much for your support. See you for the finale on Monday the 6th of June, where I'll be arranging some kind of live chat throughout the episode on Discord. Stay tuned!
