Things are getting very difficult the gang now. Seth's hurt his relationship with Maddie very deeply and the Omarovs' options are reducing to zero.

While Seth has done something inexcusable, I hope the analogy is clear: He's doing what many parents do: try to control their children. That's how I see their relationship, and this is evidenced by his expression "my girl". The concept of ownership by one's parents is a difficult one. With children, parents nearly always know what food is safe, what unsafe activities are best avoided. Knowing and doing is different, of course.

NANA's singing and chatting is behaviour strictly forbidden on today's real-world amateur radio bands, amusingly.

The regulators are deeply suspicious of music on the bands, something that is a hallmark of pirate radio, so amateurs are very careful to stay away from it. The rules basically are:

1. Non-commercial only
2. No broadcasting (one-to-on conversations only)
3. No encryption

I like these rules, they're not really to limit me, they're to limit commercialisation, keeping the bands free for amateurs to use. A hold-out of commons in a sea of capitalism!
