A big welcome to all the lovely people who signed up since last season, I write production notes for (neeeearly) every episode to give you a little update on what's happening over here in Namtao Productions (ie, my house!).

A new location, Nia's shack! Amateur Radio operators have historically been expelled to a shed in the garden to run their radios due to interference with the family's TV or FM radio equipment, and this external space became known as the Shack.
Modem Amateur radio doesn't interfere with modern TVs or computers usually, so I just operate from my computer desk, quite happily. Have you seen my love-letter video to ham radio? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcF6tvepRlg
I'm finally portraying the long dark Arctic winter, a topic that I shied away from thus far, but I'm ready to tell a story set in it now. I don't know which I'd personally like less: 24h of darkness in the winter or 24h of sun in the summer! I'd love to experience it though, perhaps when I visit Svalbard one day...
Seth has some new friends on the radio! One of the nicest things about amateur radio is that there's no secrecy, everyone is talking on the same frequencies in one big community, physically centred around lines of sight and propagation. The downside there, of course, is that everyone can hear you...

Do you like this season's artwork?
I made it!
Well, there are plenty of re-used assets in there from Carl H's previous awesome work, but lots new too! I'm so pleased with how it came out, especially as I'll have WAY MORE TIME for the next one.
What do you think? It'll be better next time!

Thank you all so much for your support, it's wonderful to be doing this show which I adore, and I'm so excited to show you more of the world this season, stay tuned!
